I feel as though more people should share this belief.

heliocentrists and space theorists try to create the impression we're just another planet(something common) among the trillions of them existing in trillion of galaxies. This is their effort.

The Earth is just another planet, but God decided to place us here so how does that make it any less significant?

For us its physical to believe Earth does not move. We are HERE, this is our true point of view and nothing cant change it. Atheists try to take a look from God's standpoint.

If you make your immediate local surroundings your frame of reference the Earth does, in effect, stand still, but if you enlarge the frame of reference to even just a few miles then the rotation of the Earth begins to have an effect on projectile motion. And if you enlarge the reference frame to include both the Earth and the sun, then the Earth definitely has to be in motion otherwise we would eventually be pulled into the sun.

As for the 3 arguments in page 1, I believe the first two appeal to the belief the Earth does not move instead of the Earth being flat.

Many people answered that if we JUMP we return to the same position and not miles away, because the core of the Earth(something they have never seen) and everything upon it travel at a constant speed (without acceleration or slowing down). Sounds logical. But the fallacy rests on the fact that these people have BEGUN with the ASSUMPTION that the Earth moves. Just because we fall back in the position we jumped does not follow that the Earth rotates at a constant speed. This can also happen in a stationary Earth.

You are correct in stating that we would see the same effect whether the Earth was stationary or in motion, but if it were stationary we would not have the Coriolis effect, and therefore would not have wind.

You will notice that the word used here is also clearly intended to convey the process of describing a limit or circumference on a surface, specifically upon the face of the deep.

You cannot draw a sphere on a surface.

I was not asking you what other words may or may not exist either in classical Hebrew or any other language. I was asking you why was used when was available. It is used in the same book, Isaiah, so please don't cite "different literary styles" as a reason.

In the case of Proverbs perhaps globule might have been appropriate if God were raising a sphere up out of the water? But globule is not used.

You also mentioned globe, ball and orb. Perhaps these words are not used in God's Inerrant Word because they're irrelevant. Perhaps they are used but not when describing the shape of the world He created.

Or perhaps you're just making stuff up and then re-interpreting Scripture to say that those words mean just exactly whatever they need to mean for your delusion to be true. That path does not lead to Salvation.

The only flaw in mankind is sin. Until we fear the LORD, we are incapable of true wisdom (Job 28:28). True wisdom comes with true faith (Proverbs 2:6). Language doesn't change when one accepts Christ, their understanding of the world does, so your argument is invalid.

Yes, for some Christians it doesnt matter if Earth is a planet and God chose this one to make it capable to support life. But atheistic scientists consider Earth just an accident of life that can be also be found in another planet.
There is a tendency to teach we and our planet are not important.

I still have much to learn on the subject. But I can say you have begun with the assumption that extra huge objects have to attrack others(gravity) or that sun is bigger than us(accepting popular astronomic beliefs). I mean you have already accepted heliocentric model as true and then explain everything according to this model. You have already accepted Earth's core is in motion, before everything appears on it.

Since you brought this up, let me hear your opinion about air and winds. According to the heliocentric theory that earth core revolves (around itself to have day and night or rotates around the Sun) along with everything upon it(ground,people,air) we would have to experience deadly winds.

If you explain this saying that Earth's core speed is constant(without slowing down or accelaration) thus the winds are constant, I see a contradiction. Lets say the core is the car and the winds the people inside the car. Then these winds are not winds at all if they cant be experienced.

Not only we dont experience such winds, but on the other hand we see clouds going towards different directions and not just one(not just from west to east as the earth rotation theory demands). We also experience breezes or other strong winds but theyre not so fast and they come towards different directions.

How do you explain this?

This would mean God's Word is flawed, because He chose to communicate to us through human language. Think about what you're saying.

I believe God's Holy Spirit inspired the authors of the Bible to use clear, unambiguous language, so that the Scriptures are the pure, flawless Word of God.

It's amazing how many people blindly believe in a spherical Earth, without ever having seen it for themselves!

That's because the evidence for the earth being spherical is all around us.

1) Jump![/B]
Now, scientists claim that Earth is spherical and rotating at a speed of between 700-1000 miles per hour, depending on your latitude. This is a very high rate of speed. You can disprove this nonsense by simply jumping up as high as you can. Really, it's that simple. What happens when you jump? You come straight down to where you were. But, if the Earth were indeed spinning at such a fast speed, wouldn't you land hundreds of feet away?

If you were to stand in the flat bed of a truck going 75 mph, and jump straight up, what would happen? You wouldn't fall straight down. You would fall out of the truck. That's because trucks move, the Earth doesn't. This experiment proves the Earth is fixed in space and doesn't move.

Your "experiment" only proves that the atmosphere around the Earth moves with the Earth.

2) Blow!
Since if the Earth is supposedly a sphere, it naturally comes to assume what would happen to people below the equator, like in Australia? Since they are underneath the sphere, wouldn't they fall off? This is where scientists come up with mumbo-jumbo like "gravity" and "centrifugal force" to explain away their theories. So, the scientists want you to think that because the earth is so much more massive than people or things, that people will naturally "stick" to the bottom of the earth because of gravity.

This can be disproved very simply. Get a balloon and inflate it as big as possible. It will be a spherical shape. Now, take a piece of paper and try to rip, tear, or cut the tiniest speck of paper possible. This paper represents a human being, much smaller in mass to the balloon, which represents the Earth. Now try and place the small piece of paper to the underside of the balloon. What happens? It falls off!

That's right. Even though the balloon is so much bigger in mass, it cannot hold the tiny paper. So if the Earth was a sphere, no one could live below the equator because they would fall off.

The ratio of balloon mass: paper mass still would not match the ratio of Earth:human, plus the gravity from the Earth is acting on the paper and it is much more than the gravity exerted from the balloon.

3) Get High!
Ok, this one you really can't do at home, but you can do it out in the world. Stand on the ground and look around you. What's the farthest you can see? Maybe it's a building, tree, or mountain. Now, find some place very close to it where you can get a much higher vantage point. (This also works if you're on a jet and about to take off.) Notice how in the higher place you can see much farther? You can see more of the world the higher you get. This shows the world is flat because the higher you go, the easier it is to see over obstacles. At the same time, it shows the world cannot be spherical. Because if the world was curved, the far distance would forever remain out of view because of the Earth's curvature. It would eternally be over the horizon.

If the Earth was a sphere, it would not matter how high you went, you would still see the same thing. Since this is not the case, the Earth is flat.

The Earth is large and you are small

These experiments are all confirmed by creation scientists as being 100% accurate.

You're going to have to be a little more specific than that. Cite the book, chapter, and verse when making scriptural claims. Use the KJV Bible.

It's so much easier to bring people to Jesus if you interpret the bible a bit more sensibly and take into account things like Adam and Eve didn't really exist so there was no original sin for Jesus to die to redeem us from.

Suddenly it becomes really obvious that Jesus died so we wouldn't mistreat women any more and we'd all be nice to each other and not argue with scientists.
