    I do not see why atheists and chrsitians have to be split into a `us and them` type catagory.

    It is hard to classify an atheisit as characteristically `miserable` because this is a subjective overgeneralisation

    Does it not rain on both sinners and the unrighteous (Mathew 5:45)

    We were all atheist once, even when we were too young to really understand

    Plus it is still possible to love God and feel sad.

        Christian wheat and atheist chaff; Christian sheep and atheist goats. GOD will be separating "us and them" for eternity one day -- granted the "them" will not be comprised solely of atheists, all manner of evil-doers will part of that wretched, hellbound group. Glory!
