Is Landover a cult? To be a cult you would have to have actual people and influence. Cyberspace is a different story. This is like the classic arguement regarding the fact that for each of us reality is 99 percent perception. So, if you believe everything you read and see on a chat-room board - then I suppose LBC could be a cult. However, most of us do get some real-life interaction with REAL people who have degrees and unbiased opinions. (Well, one can hope each of us has a support team of living breathing adults.)

I for one do not think this is a cult. Is it real? Ah, well, it depends on if you live here more than in the land of the living. Maybe Landover should start a SIM community and Paster Zeke could be this hot man of faith that gets to go around and flame all the demons. . . but only if he wears just a loin cloth.

Well, that's not a very pretty picture - Pastor Zeke with a flame thrower in a loin cloth. Let me think of something better for LBC SIM. Well, the church could be made of gold - that would be cool. The sun would never set so it would sparkle all the time. You've all heard how big it is? Pastor Zeke probably has to wear a nice suit since that is in the rule book. Ok - bummer.

Hey, I could be whore and then I guess according the rule book, it's a free for all. This could be a very exciting SIM project. But I don't want to get stoned and die a horrible SIM death.

I have no way of knowing if they have joined a SIM community. I do not care nor know what they do in their free time. I don't like either of them and not really because of their politics. I think GW is a moron in need of serious speech lessons and Sarah too inexperienced to run her household correctly let alone the country.

Do I think they are "real" people? Well, today I do. (I have seen them on TV!) Do I know if they good Godly people? No one knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men. And you don't know differently. To say you know whether one of them is a cheater, an abuser, is corrupt or greedy - you do not and nor do I. GW has had his hands in some pretty shady deals to make family money. God knows.

I have my personal opinion that anyone in politics is probably corrupt. What is that old saying: Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely - it is true. That goes for any government or any corporation. It is a rare to find even 75% transparency and ethics when money and power are involved. Sadly, this includes some unmentionable churches as well - like Catholics (OK, I mentioned it).

PS: It's Midwest or MA or Agnositic Trash (AT) or Ms. MA, not girl. I am not some unhappy desperate 20 or 30 year-old out seeking meaning in my life or looking to convert from my belief system to KJ LBC style. (Your board is just more fun than my previous group of internet junkies.)

As a True Christian(tm) Pastor, I am utterly penniless. I subsist on a meager pastoral stipend, barely enough to get by. Jesus has provided an estate for my use, complete with rolling hills, a stable for my Arabian stallions, a 9 hole golf course (designed by Arnold Palmer at no cost to me), an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and a mansion with 18 bathrooms. I get a brand new Custom Escalade every year, that I use to drive the 700 yards from my estate garages to the door of the cathedral....I could go on, but I think you get my point.

Jesus has rewarded me for my ministry. Luckily, I don't have to pay taxes on His bounty...Unlike you cultists.

I have more respect for our real creator who asks that such wealth be spent on doing real good for others who need it, then I do for a morally corrupt imaginary God who is used as an excuse to take money off others to give the likes of you an extravagant lifestyle.

Sounds like you feel comfortable in in spending the money your Church makes in the same way you beloved Catholic friends spend the money their church makes. Only difference seems to be that you don't wear frocks in public.

With the advent of the internet, we can reach far-off locales and exotic destinations easier than I could back in the 1980's with cable TV.

What is important is witnessing for others and preaching the Word of God(c). Throwing money away by feeding starving niglets with pot bellies won't do any good. It keeps them alive one more day, but they die Unsaved(tm) and add to the bonfire of unsaved heathen trash LIKE YOU in Hell.

I am not accusing the accountants of anything, I am accusing the Landover Baptist Church of being Morally Fraudulent, spending the money the church makes on luxuries just the same way as your friends the Catholics do, giving your Pastors a soft life, in affect killing innocent children whose lives could be saved by that money.
