Compared to the many cults and false churches out there, how does Scientology rank as far as threats go? These wackos try to paint the picture that they're actually good people. What's worse is I think they actually beLIEve all of that Xenu nonsense. The fact that they are represented and endorsed by liberal Hollywood should really put them on the high threat alert. If we're not careful the youth generation is going to think this sort of garbage is actually COOL. Heaven forbid a day come when there are more followers of Xenu than of our Father Himself.

So brothers, how seriously should we take these absolute nutjobs? I for one would feel very threatened should a person identify themselves as a Scientologist, and I seek your tips on how one should deal with one.

For those of you that are unaware, this cult was essentially founded upon the chance for profit. This "religion" (OBVIOUSLY a cult) makes you PAY to be considered one of them. Sounds like something we should all be a part of, right? WRONG! Finding Christ is the only profit any of us need.

Funny you should say that. My grandparents were born in Utah into a clinically insane family (See: Mormon), but when they were old enough to see the outrageous beliefs their fathers followed, they immediately moved over here to the east coast and quickly converted toward the only true (and SANE) path to Christ Himself.

Scientologist are simply a peverted non-nihilistic sub-church of atheist who get laid a lot more.
They are atheist BUT with a reason to live: and thus look forward to death {albeit a Hell roasted one}
on various pre-paid levels of an after-life that ends in reincarnating into space creatures.

Thus the root word science, used a lot by both sciency atheistic cults, when they babble about space ships - evolution - and electricity.
Think of scientologist as pervy atheists from big green seed pods.

All scientologist are rich and most are famous. Many live in the Hollywood Hills communes worshiping Bart Simpson.
If you know one, you can borrow lots of money from them if you let them hook you up to a voltmeter.

Don't ever bother to repay them cause they will just use the money to go up another level, and by withholding payment you are saving their soul.

They charge you for their Holy Word, I think per word, so unlike Saved© folk ~ they don't give salvation away for free .

Two reasons:

1. They have vast political power, largely because as a false religion, they can accumulate vast amounts of wealth without paying taxes. Realistically, this should be restricted to real religions -- Christians.

2. They seduce the simple-minded away from straightforward Christianity, with its down-to-earth truths, with bizarre supernatural fantasies about "thetans" and spaceships and volcanoes. Those people will all go to Hell because they chose ridiculous fairy tales over the Bible.

In my younger days, I read Hubbard's science fiction books. Trust me, there was no way he was going to get rich off of those.

But from what I understand, Scientology is on the way out and Oprahism is the cult of the future. She's even got her own network for all of her priests and priestesses now.
