Had the story been true, yes, probably.

God has told us things differently to how we might see them. We are limited. He is not.

To YOU it may be true, but to me it's not.

This has been a common issue for a long time now thanks to the evils of science and logic.

People have been relying far too much on "external reality," "evidence," and "critical thinking" to determine what is true or false. It has led to so many different interpretations of what the truth is, I weep for the confusion and amorality of future generations.

The good news is that it doesn't have to be so confusing. Fortunately for all of us, immovable, hardcore-literalist Bible-believing Christianity that is utterly unaffected by science and logic is still alive and well in the 21st century.

Because what we believe is true, there is no logic in your assertion that what's true for us is not true for you.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: -2 Timothy 3:16

I don't believe that a religion should be based on fear and worship of "god", it should be based on love and appreciation of nature and life.

It is plainly foolish not to fear somebody who can wipe out all life on the planet Earth with a wave of His hand, burn down entire cities for sodomy, and turn water into wine.

As long as you live a good and wholesome life, don't harm yourself or others, and have a loving heart, you're set for whatever it is that happens after death.

Where in the Bible does it say that? That may be what New Age, feel-good religion teaches you, but the Bible (the TRUTH) says otherwise.

While you're busy living a good and wholesome life (doing drugs), harming yourself (masturbating), and having a loving heart (masturbating others), you are ignoring GOD's instructions regarding the stoning of homosexuals and adulterers, spitting in JESUS' face by wearing mixed fabrics, and offending the Almighty by being friends with unchristian people.

The ordinary nuances of everyday life that you fail to even notice could make the difference between eternal life and eternal damnation. Only one who reads and follows the Bible to the letter knows for sure what to say, think, do and wear. There is zero uncertainty in my mind about where I will be spending eternity.

I do not believe in a god that does such things, I do not believe that the bible stories are true. And, like I said, that's my OPINION, that the bible stories are not truth, and your OPINION is that they are. GOD DID NOT WRITE THE BIBLE, according to the bible, he "inspired" the writers, so if the only proof that the bible is truth is in the bible, well, sorry, but thats still an opinion.

Like I said, I don't believe in the bible. I was raised Catholic, but I never belived in any of it, I found that I belived in the wonder of nature and life, not the bible and it's god that scares you into belief by saying that you'll spend all of your afterlife suffering if you don't follow him.

You don't know me at all sir, I do not do drugs, and I do not consider them wholesome, where did I say that I do drugs? I said as long as you're NOT harming yourself, and who said that I masturbate? Where did that come into play here? By harming yourself, I mean, drug abuse. And again, I said NOT harming other and by harming others, I meant putting them down, harassing them and hurting them. SEX IS A BEAUTIFUL AND NATURAL THING.
