I’m not going to get angry, but I do see a lot of flaws in this thread. I’m not citing the Bible in this particular post, either, but that doesn’t mean I have no voice. The entire message of Christianity is to love others, judge no one, and be kind to each other. Keeping that in mind, I have a question for all the men on here. How would you like to be considered incapable of counting past three and a lesser human being based on the reproductive organs you possess? That’s the only difference, really. Would you consider it a kind thing for someone to think of you?

I had to leave my job to finish school. When I went back and asked if they were hiring, the manager rehired me on the spot and gave me a raise. He had also been asking me if I wanted to come back for several weeks before I asked. I am a female. My boss thinks I do a pretty good job.

Criminals can have mental illnesses. They can come from the foster system. They can lose everything and snap somehow. They can be kids messing around and trying drugs and then becoming lost in addiction which even they can’t control. Try reading a book called Go Ask Alice. It’s the actual anonymous diary of a girl who lost her life to drug abuse. She had a very loving family.

I am anti-war in general, but I know many female athletes who can easily beat men at their respective sports. This includes basketball, long distance running, hockey, swimming, soccer, etc. Women are perfectly capable of being physically competent.

Sarah Palin is a woman…? You contradicted yourself just a little. I believe in freedom for all people, and that includes the right to vote, which many people have sacrificed their lives for over the years. There may be some ignorant female voters, but there are also ignorant male voters. It’s the price of freedom, and honestly we should just deal with it. Women are capable of being smart as well. I get good grades, and I was accepted to every college I applied to.

My closest friend is lesbian, and her father raised her under ideals similar to these. She doesn’t trust men in the least. She won’t even tell him she is lesbian. She’s waiting until she graduates from college, at which point she is expecting to be disowned. Sexual orientation is not something a person can control. Raising someone in an environment such as this will not make them heterosexual. It will cause a homosexual child to hide their sexual orientation until they can escape into the real world. As for the idea of forcing a woman into marriage, wedding ceremonies do ask the woman whether she is there of her own free will. She is allowed to say no.

I believe my husband and I will share many of the same friends, as I tend to date men who travel in the same social circles as I do, and I have always gotten along with men much more easily than women. I might even have been enjoying the fun with friends. If I haven’t, and he is out on his own, then I would probably work while he is away. When he returns, he is welcome to a nice evening with me. However, he’s perfectly capable of taking off his own coat, thank you. I enjoy pipes as much as any man. We could have a calm conversation by the fireplace, which of course will keep his feet warm if he doesn’t feel like going upstairs to get his slippers. It’s just as relaxing. As a woman, I love driving. I have a job, as a student and at the workplace, and I work very hard. I enjoy having a paycheck. It will allow me to pay off student loans without burdening my husband. I have wanted to be a writer all my life and would lose the will to live if I could not write. I need it. Speaking of writers, have you ever heard of J.K. Rowling or Jane Austen? They were both quite successful, and both were very happy with their work. Women get jobs because they don’t want to be servants. Even in older times, the wealthy women were waited on. Everyone sees labor the same way as everyone else.


Everyone is human. If this forum truly does ban racism, then I should think sexism would be treated the same way. Please remember that all souls are equal under Christ our Savior.

Through a private message, where no one can see you. I am not a feminist. Feminism is not feminism, it is masculinism, and it honestly is destroying femininity. I was raised Christian, but the hypocrisy of the church deterred my faith. I believe there is a god and every religion interprets him differently, sometimes through misguided means. These misguided means can include fearing anything they disagree with, calling it heresy and witchcraft.

We are divided on that. From a policy standpoint, Sister Palin would be much better. That we can all agree on.

Some of us feel that Sister Sarah would surround herself with much smarter people (men) and would still do a good job. Some of us want Dick Cheney to run.
