  • Re: Down syndrome is a lifestyle choice!

How can you ever believe that down syndrome is a lifestyle choice? havent you ever noticed that all people with down syndrome, well, look a bit off? and almost all of them look reaaaaly alike and share features? yeah, they share the features becouse they share a genetic disease, meaning that they have an extra chromosome. Do you think people who suffer from cancer just "choose so"?? no, its something they have no power over of.
    Jude 1:17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

The answer to your question, as always, is in the Holy Bible:

      Deuteronomy 7:12-16
12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the Lord thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
14 Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.
15 And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
16 And thou shalt consume all the people which the Lord thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.

Nice, nice, so you want to tell me you were NEVER, not even once in your lifetime, sick?
Now, if that is true, please go to a doctor. Tell him that. Get checked. And help humanity (Jesus will love you for helping people) by letting scientist study you, and find why havent you been sick. Maybe you are the answer to curing humanity of all sickness? Imagine how much of a good deed that would be in the eyes of God?! You'd be the savior of humanity from sickness!

          What rubbish.

Jesus is the Saviour of humanity. Don't you even know that?

If you save lets say a child from a carcrash, you are its savior, becouse you saved it. Thats what that word means. Yes Jesus is our savior from sin. But if you saved humanity from sickness, you are its savior FROM SICKNESS.

Oh, dear. What an odd question! Of course I've been sick in my life. I've even broken my leg! I all happened, though, when I was a child, and before I was Saved(tm). God used to punish me for my heathen parents (who have been on their way to Hell since I can remember), and me for following my heathen parents.

Since I began to follow instead, though, I have not been sick and do not expect to be in the future! (Unless, of course, decides to make me sick only to perform a miracle later, see John 9:1-3).

First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. We're right and you're wrong, according to Jesus and the Holy Word of God. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.

Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.

Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .

If you want to debate people, THIS is the place to go.

Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.

Sickness is caused by sin. And the context is right there in Deuteronomy. God's judgement was upon the

                      6. Hivites
                      7. Jebusites
all of whom were vile brutes deserving only of death. Their wives were vile, all their children vere vile and don't even mention the babies: repugnant filth to the last toenail. God's love is perfect and He knew they all needed to be chopped up alive. Our love, or at least the love of the Israelites for God was imperfect and they needed to be told just how much real Love God had for them. God did just that, explaining His Perfect Judgement and the reward for complying. From the historical record:
                      DEUTERONOMY 7
                      1
                      When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.
6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
                      9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
11 Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.
                      KJV .. look up

Part of that reward is freedom from sickness. Christians participate in God's Perfect Love to an even greater extent. And the reward is greater. Not only are we set free from sin altogether (and therefore from sickness) but we are able to heal others. Jesus explains:
                      MARK 16
                      17a
                      And these signs shall follow them that believe;
18b ..they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
KJV .. look up . context

Now, if that is true, please go to a doctor. Tell him that. Get checked. And help humanity (Jesus will love you for helping people) by letting scientist study you, and find why havent you been sick. Maybe you are the answer to curing humanity of all sickness?
God has already explained why people get sick. He has also explained how the choices resulting in ill health or disease or trisomy disoprders (and any other euphemism you dream up to describe the wages of sin) are often made by parents or grandparents or great-grandparents even back to the tenth generation. They have made lifestyle choices—orgiastic idol rites for example or burning incense the wrong way—with no thought of the castrophe thereby ordered for their progeny. God has explained the consequences. They are without excuse.

Why do you hate Jesus so much?

                      • Re: Down syndrome is a lifestyle choice!

I was browsing through your site because of another article, but a link to this one caught my eye first. What I found here has horrified me, and I'm sure God has surely wept at the audacity of the people who claim to worship Him, if, indeed, these are your true sentiments and this is not meant as satire, which I have a strong feeling it isn't.

While I do believe that being gay is a lifestyle choice, my mind was truly blown at the animosity thrown so callously toward some of the Father's most precious ones. Two quotes in particular caught my eye because of the utter lack of any sort of Christian love, whatsoever.

"Down syndrome has been invented by people who are too lazy to study, too lazy to work and even too lazy to wipe their own butts. By acting like complete idiots they avoid scrutiny and get passed all checks in our system to receive free care and free money without ever having to do anything to actually deserve all that. Parents who are too lazy to properly raise their children teach their children to behave like drooling idiots so they no longer have to fulfill their parental duties." (The person who wrote this is so uneducated, I'm surprised he can read the funny papers, much less the Holy Word of God.)

"However, Down syndrome might be the result of a human being born without soul. The thick throat, malformed face, clumsiness and low IQ are all features of a soulless beast. Since they lack soul, you don't have to feel guilt if you're cruel to a mongo." (This statement goes beyond just uneducated to sheer lunacy.)

How do you people live with yourselves thinking of God's most innocent that way? No, I do not have a Downs child, but I have known many, and I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that they showed more evidence of a soul than has been displayed by some of the people here.

If this kind of hate is what you teach at your church, then it is surely not God's church, for he is a God of love. But, he is also a jealous and angry God, and I would be shaking in my shoes if I had spewed some of the hate on this page. Don't be fooled. God has a plan for each and every soul he brings to this earth, including all of you. And He nor His plans will Not be mocked.

How many imperfect people do you welcome into your church with genuine love? If a bum, homeless, too smelly to be able to sit close to sat down on a pew to worship, how many of you would shake his hand and take him to dinner at your house or even a restaurant afterward, then ask him to please come back?

You have grown arrogant in your Christianity, which makes it a whole other thing. Maybe you should read about the Sermon on the Mount again:

*“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
****for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
                        Blessed are those who mourn,
                        ****for they will be comforted.
                        Blessed are the meek,
****for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
                        ****for they will be filled.
                        Blessed are the merciful,
****for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
                        ****for they will see God.
                        Blessed are the peacemakers,
****for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
****for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

“Blessed are you when people insult you,*persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.*Rejoice and be glad,*because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
,“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

"You are the light of the world.*A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.*In the same way, let your light shine before others,*that they may see your good deeds*and glorify*your Father in heaven.
                        Matt. 5: 3-16

You're not being a beacon to the lost. You're chasing them away. I'm pretty sure this will get deleted, but maybe not, because I definitely felt led to tell you this
when I usually would've just felt a sadness but would've blown it off and moved on. I Hope, somebody there, heeds these words and takes a long look at themselves and how they are worshipping the Father and how they are treating the Father's children. Our job, our directive is to lead souls into the Father's kingdom. Not chase them away. I will be praying for your church and your church's leaders that they always follow and teach God's word with true knowledge and understanding.

Oh, and to those who feel that sickness is a curse from God to a sinner everytime it happens, how many of your family member's souls must be doomed to he'll by that theory? I'm pretty sure your church hasn't been cancer free or heart disease free or free of any of the many illnesses we can go through in our lives. If your wife gets cancer, do you call her a sinner and kick her out of the church? Please explain why Paul, one of God's greatest leaders in the early church was allowed to suffer?

                        Corinthians 12:7-10

“And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a*thorn*in the flesh, the messenger of*Satan*to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.* And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in*weakness.* Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in myinfirmities, that the power of weakness, infirmity. Christ may rest upon me.* Therefore I take pleasure in*infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I amweak, then am I strong.”

                          Two points:

                          1. Jesus does not mention retards during the Sermon on the Mount (YOU should go back and re-read it).

                          2. Please show me in Scripture where all children are innocent, then reconcile that with Psalms 51:5.

                          Yours in Christ,

tl;dr - apart from the Scripture. Third point:

                            3. What version of the Bible has all those asterisks in it?

You sir are NOT a Christian. Telling lies about God is the exact opposite of what a True Chrisitan™ would do.

You claim that lazy retards are innocent, while the Bible tells us they are not (Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10).

You claim that God is all about love, while the Bible teaches us a completely different truth (Proverbs 6:16-19, Hosea 9:15, Matthew 13:41-42, Deuteronomy 12:31).

So please do one (just one) honest thing in your otherwise pointless life. Stop pretending to be a Christian and admit you are serving Satan instead. Then you limit the damage to only yourself burning in Hell instead of dragging other innocents there with you.

To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!
