Friends,
At the Creeser home we take gun safety very seriously. I'm not talking about the silliness the liberals suggest; trigger locks, unloaded and stored in a safe (is the robber going to wait 15 minutes while you get prepared?)
Since John Jr. was old enough to understand, I've always showed him where the safety is before he goes and plays with his friends. Not only that, but I make him physically show me before he ventures out. Safety on, gun doesn't fire - it's that simple.
You're all familiar with Gayle and Jim Johnson's six year old son Jim jr. Well the the kids wanted to play cowboys and Indians and so I gave John Jr. the Colt .45 and since Jim Jr. is a little young, my .22 caliber. I had them both show me the safety's were on, checked them bot and after I was confident they were both safe, let them go play. About 15 minutes later I heard a pop followed by Jim Jr's screams. By the time I got outside, John Jr. was already tending to him. It appears Jim jr. removed the safety and accidentally shot himself in the foot. Just great. Not only that, he was right besides Abigails Mentra-hut when this happened risking certain infection.
Look, I'm not one to tell other parents how to raise their kids but how irresponsible can one get? You teach your kids to never remove the safety, EVER when playing games. And playing around a menstra-hut? Have they not taught their son Leviticus 15: 25-30? After informing Jim and Gayle their son had been taken to Landover medical facilities and that Jim Jr. will probably lose his foot, I gave them a piece of my mind about their delinquent son.
Let this be a lesson to them.
