    Anyone care to have a honest debate...?

    No name calling, no flaming, I want to have a honest debate. To start, I have a few questions...

    1. Jesus preached and taught tolerence and forgiveness...please, tell me how persecuting and killing gays and other religions is what Jesus taught.

    2. I would love some one to actually find some way to prove creationism, beyond just saying 'the bible said so'.

    I'm sure I'll think of some more.

      1. Read the Bible. God commands us to kill sodomites, witches, adulterers, those who follow other religions, those who try to entice US to follow other religions, those who work on the Sabbath, disobedient children, those who (post-Noah) commit incest, and many others. Since Jesus is God, Jesus therefore taught us these things.

      These people will be cast into eternal torment following their demise.

      2. Look around you. See a universe? It came from somewhere. Everything has a cause; it didn't create itself, did it?

      We are not here to try to "prove" through "science" that God created the universe. Faith can only survive in the absence of evidence; were we to provide concrete "scienticious proof" from "scienticians", you'd need no faith.

      3. This is not a debate forum. You'd know that if you read the Welcome Thread. Since you're obviously too lazy to follow the link, I'll quote the relevant portion:

        Here's what Jesus had to say about his mission on Earth:

        Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Matthew 10:34

        Jesus did not specifically mention homosexuality, but he was very clear in Mark 7 (and Matthew 15) that fornication is evil:

        And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Mark 7:20-23

        In what way is homosexual behavior not fornication? Therefore it is evil. The Apostle Paul was quite specific on this point:

        Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind 1 Corinthians 6:9

        So the New Testament, as well as the Old, very clearly states that homosexuality is a sin. Now, how are we to deal with a sinner? Here's what the Bible tells us:

        Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 2 Timothy 4:2

        Does this mean we should not forgive? Of course not! We forgive, but only if the sinner repents, as Jesus instructed:

        Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. Luke 17:3

        There is an entire forum devoted to Creation Science. Read it. You might also find the books referenced in the study guides on the Answers in Genesis website helpful. AIG is a bit liberal in its interpretations for my taste, but they are both smart and saved, and their ministry is dedicated toward the salvation of unsaved trash such as yourself.

          Besides what the others have said, I just want to chime in with my $2 worth... If you can't use the answer key to grade the test, then what good is the test?

            First off, to answer your question. No, I do not want to have a debate with you.

            Seriously. We get sooo many people like you, waltzing in where your not welcome, with ZERO knowledge of God's word, who think they can turn us all into Atheists by saying: "Evolution is true because blah, blah, blah!" or some such nonsense.

            As has been stated already, this is not a debate forum. If you want to discuss our beliefs with us, pick up a Bible, a King James 1611 Version, read it, come back here and we'll talk.

                  What is there to debate? If you question the word of God then you should take it up with Him. I'm sure He wll show you the error of your ways. Most likely it will probably be as you burn in hell. Bring marshmallows!

                      Young Earth Creationism is quite a robust and well developed science. The physical evidence is quite complex and would be inapposite to discuss here in a single paragraph. I think the fact that you haven’t considered the evidence of a Young Earth shows your’ own closed minded bias.

                        Jesus did teach tolerance and forgiveness, but it also means that you must ask for forgiveness and you should also have self-control, Jesus does not tell Christians to kill, in fact you are not allowed to kill, no matter the reason. You must want to bring God into you`re life and allow Him to change you from the inside out, it is not an easy journey which is full of many pit-falls.

                            I agree, you will only be forgiven so many times and Revelations is not pretty.

                              Jesus is God.
