Sophie I wrote what I wrote because I saw a quote I did not understand. And still don't because no-one has helped me with it! Check the post, I think it was near the top of the thread- there you will see some truly aggressive writing. He even mentions something as puerile and materialistic as her appearance.

You see, God is perfect in everything he does and shouldn't be questioned. Everything he does and everything he is makes perfect sense.
When God created light and darkness, he knew that the light needs the darkness and darkness needs light. He made a balance in life. But you cannot blame God for such sins. Yes, indeed, he made the evil, but he only put the seed. What spreads out of it is not his work and it shows itself in many ways.

If you plant a little tree, I also can't blame you for that the roots grow to the left and not to the right. Do you understand, what I want to tell you?

Thank you Sophie for giving me a valid response, and yes that has helped me to understand it- not completely but it's certainly a start. However, I worry that you say this is no place for debate- it keeps the mind refreshed and excited, it's nothing to fear, surely you want to spread the word to others, the only way to do that is discussion

The goal of the Landover Baptist Church forum is to draw people to Jesus Christ because Scripture confirms that salvation comes only through Him.

My intent was pure, but delivery was not so kind.

Only joking guys, I don't believe in God etc, I have no need for it, neither do I have a problem with you believing it. What I would say is that your reactions, apart from sophie, remind me why religion is such a corrupting force.

My friend, I give everyone a chance to let me help them reach salvation. If they reject it, don't be sad. It is their loss, not ours. We can only remain with the thought that we tried our best. If someone should be saved, he MUST have the will to be saved or all trying is hopeless.

Our kindness was not wasted, Sir, we gave our best to reach him a hand. If he chooses eternal damnation, so be it.

I would simply like to state that I was once agnostic, and your comment which is ignorant and unfounded (Hard to believe it came from a fellow christian) that I must now revert back to agnosticism, because I cannot believe that you have to aggressively push your personal opinions on others to be Christian. If that is what God would want from me, then I am sorry, but I will not disrespect another's personal beliefs and go against my morality just because you all wish me to.
