Praise! What these people need now is "faith reinforcement' - not clean water, dry clothes,food and shelter - these things are earthly distractions from God. All one needs is faith in times of adversity - physical needs are so often a distraction from theworshipand devotion our Lord needs from his flock

I love Jesus - and I love our merciful and compassionate God who sees fit to not only take his loved ones up to heaven to live with him, but who also brings those grieving friends and relatives he left behind closer to him through his trials and tribulations.

SUV, I would not wish to place this too highly but you make a case for considering that the very presence of Christians attracts the Almighty to display his awesome and ineffable powers.

Others may wish to comment. For myself, I feel this is why Landover has its mission to Save Souls and, by way of reward, The Almighty, The Lord God of Hosts recognizes our contribution.

This may be a useful point for the Unsaved Trash, and similar, who ask for evidence of divine powers.

It's hard to answer that one, Brother Bathfire. Sometimes He just goes after a few jigaboos when he feels like it (New Orleans), sometimes He decides to smite a few hundred thousands of mooslims (which the secular press then calls a "Tsunami", like it is a Divine Wii Game of some sorts ) because some Swedish homers got all uppity.

He works in Mysterious Ways, let's never forget that. I can only hope that some day, He'll whisper things in my ear, like He does to GWB.

But frankly, I don't think I'm worthy. It might explain why I never was hand-picked to be POTUS. GLORY!!!

What do you bet that there are still churches standing with bibles open to a verse that says "fear not" next to a house blown away. God always seems to never let the storms hit the church buildings. Amen. I bet we will hear those testimonies soon.
