As True Christians™, we all imagine ourselves here. Some simply wish that they could have been there, looking on; some would like to have been amongst the faithful; some would like to have called out, “It’s Judas! Get the bastard!” and thus save a lot of unpleasantness. But most of all, we would wish to be in the position of knowing of approaching death, having the audience in rapt attention and pronouncing wise words that will enter into history (possibly without the painful inconvenience of being crucified.)
Well, friends, is this not the essence of True Christianity™? We need to show the godless the error of their ways; we need to have our voice heard; we do not want our opinions demonized and dismissed by atheist democrats as if we were right wing, half-educated lunatics. There may be none as blind as those who will not see, but there are certainly none as deaf as will not hear the Word of The Lord.
Yes, as The End of Times approaches it is all the more necessary to express your opinions on everything and at all times, but those opinions must be supported by God’s Voice in your soul, heart and head. We must preach that we must go back 2,000 years to the Good Old Days when Jesus walked the Earth and civilization was far simpler and holier; a time when you could proclaim miracles, resurrection, and not be ridiculed! A time when witches burned, homers were stoned, children had goodness beaten into them and women interfered in nothing of importance. In short, A Godly Time!
So, as the New Year approaches, (just like the End of Times above – and it could be 2012, for He cometh as a thief in the night!) let us go forth among the Unwashed, UnSaved and Unappealing and just say the first things that God inspires us to utter. If we say it loud enough and long enough, and with backing from such luminaries as Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Bill O’Reilly or any of host of Heavenly appointed messengers from Fox News, we too may share the experience of the Last Supper and know we have played our part by having everyone think as God intended us all to think.
Our undeserved but promised reward will be at that very Table in that Land Above the Clouds.
