So, just because "Huckleberry Finn" has "Mark Twain" on the cover, doesn't mean he's the author?

Moses had a secretary? Who's to say he didn't make it all up? that is if he indeed ever lived.

A moment's thought will show you how deluded you are:
1. Moses records his own death "De:34:5: So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD." Now this is not possible, so he must have had a secretary!
2. He must have died, otherwise Moses would have complained to the Secretary that he had killed him off! The Secretary would have been fired and in a fit of rage, he would probably have set fire to the whole story!
3. If Moses died, he must have lived!
4. If he lived, why did he make it up?

There is an alternate explanation. Let me quote Josephus. He was of the priestly order of the Jehoiarib, and he offered this account (LINK):

[…] Then as he was embracing Eleazar and Joshua and talking with them, suddenly a cloud came down on him and he disappeared in a particular valley. In the holy books he wrote that he died, to prevent them saying that he went to God because of his extraordinary virtue.

(Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews, Book 4. Chapter 8, section 48)

So according to Josephus, who lived in the Holy Land a few years after our Lord, Moses simply pretended to be dead, so people wouldn't suspect that he had ascended to Heaven.

All this goes to prove, that you can never trust those shifty Shylocks.

Atheists just use this crazy circular reasoning. They say that God isn't real therefore Jesus can't be the son of God therefore Jesus isn't real either because it's all made up and the Bible is all lies.

How can the Bible be all lies when we know prayer works (or why do I always find my car keys?) and we have the word of God to tell us?

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

And that scripture tells us of Jesus!
