Bold leadership announcement: the Sunshine Protection Act

In exchange for your hard earned tax dollars, the Senate has striven tirelessly to protect your hard earned sunshine.
U.S. Senate approves bill to make daylight saving time permanent

The Senate approved the measure, called the Sunshine Protection Act, unanimously by voice vote.

The House of Representatives, which has held a committee hearing on the matter, must still pass the bill before it can go to President Joe Biden to sign.

The White House has not said whether Biden supports it.

A spokesman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declined to say if she supports the measure but said she was reviewing it closely.
Leadership will continue working relentlessly on this issue. It's not all plain daylight sailing, however.
The National Association of Convenience Stores opposes the change, telling Congress this month "we should not have kids going to school in the dark."
The mighty NACS! God forbid there be darkness, for the children. Oh wait, God created darkness (Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things). What a conundrum.... you can see why Leadership is so difficult. Heads down everybody.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

I suggest we wait a while and whatever the witch Pelosi says, we'll know she's wrong.
"we should not have kids going to school in the dark."
Does this mean that for six months of the year Eskimos won't be going to school - I could support this - It'll enable Sarah Palin to bring down local taxes.

Wait - but doesn't that mean we'll be waking up on summer time? Why wouldn't they agree on adopting the winter time? I don't want to get up earlier the whole year, I'd much prefer waking up later!

Sister, Sister, don't trouble your pretty little head. All it means is that the staff will start 1 hour earlier and leave 1 hour later.

Really efficient blackout curtains are the solution, Sister. Those of us who have the misfortune to live in weird, unGodly and un-American "time-zones" (for example, California) often have to resort to them.

Spending more time in the daylight will cause the US climate to warm, which means more thunderstorms and tornadoes. I am against this. If God wanted us to have daylight savings time, he would have moved the Sun back one hour.

"Sunshine Protection Act" - another Democrat hoax to provide another hour of sunshine for solar cells in their pathetic attempt eliminate fossil fuels.

Write your congressman to strongly oppose this measure - we need lower gas prices.

It's a great point Brother Bryan. All the strategies to increase solar, wind and nucular are an attempt to make premium 98-octane gasoline an expensive niche product. Why? Nobody really knows, but if I were to guess it would be revenge for the F150 - bane of liberal dweebs.
