It warms my heart to see a good Christian family spending quality time doing things together. However, I think that Judge Adams needs to refine his family entertainment techniques a bit. If he was going to beat a 16-year-old girl on the behind with a belt, why didn't he first make her get naked, wear black stockings, before handcuffing her? His wife could have dressed up in a nurse's uniform, and administered enemas to the wayward daughter while she was being beaten.

Like someone else posted earlier, this verse appears to be gender neutral. Proverbs 30:17
"The eye that mocketh at his father, And despiseth to obey his mother, The ravens of the valley shall pick it out, And the young eagles shall eat it"
She should be praising God right since He mercifully allowed her to keep both her eyes. Why would the media be so against someone for following God and giving some tough love to their child? She's not dead. Since when is it news that someone disciplines their child? Have you seen teenagers lately? This is something that the vast majority of parents should be doing.
This just goes to show how the liberal media is persecuting Christianity. I strongly suspect they are agents of Satan.Close minded people are just right people who don't want to spend time arguing.

The article quotes the daughter as saying her father needs help. That's correct in one sense.
