Thank god I have redeemed myself from once being a catholic and an Anglican to a fully fledged Baptist. I certainly couldn't stand the gay priests. Did you know that the church I preached once shared the same roof as dirt loving Muslims on the other side?!?!?

What the Catholic Church says

A religious exemption that applies primarily to churches is too narrow, bishops argue. Thank you very much! I'm a protestant but I don't have any problems with catholics. But I'm glad to hear that you're with me in this conversation - I'm very surprised that there are so many different forms of Christianity. If I had to choose one or two of them to be the right ones, I would without any doubts choose Protestantism and Catholicism :-)

I am not part of the college of Cardinals (yet) and just because I work and live in the Vatican does not mean I am worthy enough to be involved in the choosing of His Holiness as per the tenets of The Holy Roman Church. I do appreciate the thought though.

Really? You do realize, that although Catholicism is basically one thing*, there are thousands of very diverse Protestant groups - so you are saying, that among all of the variations of Christianity, you chose 90% of them

* Catholicsm also has sects of its own, like lefebvrianism, but they are really, really on the fringe; and I am not including here Orthodox Churches, because they consider Catholics to be a fringe sect.

Thank you, Pastor. I've read it and I am humbled to see how extensive my ignorance has been. I am truly shaken after reading about the unjust persecutions of Baptists by the oppressive Catholic Church. It so horrible that most of the historical documents are silent about those Anabaptist heroes.
