I am heavily disturbed and deeply offended by an image in an article about Neanderthals. Yes - the image is even more disturbing than the text [which claims the existence of some sort of proto-humans long before the Earth (and everything on it) was created by God].

Here is the image - you can bet that the "artist" who created this "reconstruction" was a whiny butthurt liberal:

The real, [read: better] humans in liberal scientists' eyes were dark-skinned Africans. And we all came from them and somehow the evil villains of history, (whites)"lost" their "natural" pigmentation.


God forbid they should have gained some valuable traits after pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps* and getting the heck away from primitive Africa. .


And just who invented boots by the way? Hint: Not dusty-footed Africans, that's for sure.

Well, that goes together with the narrative of white people descending from Neanderthals -- and Neanderthals being light skinned and blue eyed due to living in ice-covered Europe (while Africa was supposedly tropical even during the so-called Ice Age). That's old news, I was offended by it last year.

What offends me now, is whose delicate Cro-Magnon features clearly were used to create the face of a cave man:

What's more disturbing than the text is the subtext. In order for the story to work a raft of ideas is necessary which are signalled by the use of some very specific buzz words much as a road sign informs us of things not actually on the road but which we ought to understand are going on.

In that piece I was alarmed to see how many appeared. Here are just a few to give you an idea how far these ideas have become entrenched, as they must have done, in order for them to be understood during the reading experience.

• lived in many pockets of Europe for more than 300,000 years
• genetic evidence also suggests
• of the same DNA
• symbolic abilities
• important cultural ritual
• complex symbolic behaviour
• are much more evolved than

In particular these are words signifying ideas used to contradict God, to argue that what He has told us is not true, to suggest that evidence offered for His presence in the world has been refuted. It follows, such words insinuate, that unless some better evidence can be provided or completely different evidence produced there is no reason to accept God's existence at all.

In comparing different states of evolution, for example, by using a phrase like are much more evolved than we're assumed to already agree with the "fact" of evolution whether it's actually a fact or not. Christians never need to do this because we know that Jesus is real and that His ministry demonstrated the truth of His claims. Again, this stuff about symbolic abilities and important cultural rituals makes all forms of idolatry and debased activities or lewd art and fertility dances somehow acceptable – important even, elements of "culture" to be respected: dare I say admired? Yes, what God has told us so plainly is vile and should be destroyed in these phrases is overturned because (as "we" already know) the God commanding such destruction has been refuted and no new material has been offered to rehabilitate Him.

And on it goes. I don't need to provide more examples. In the secular world this subtext is everywhere but I was particularly disturbed (reading through the linked BBC piece on Neanderthals) at how insidious the language had become. How much more of this is Jesus expected to endure?

I'm offended how I can't seem to please the blacks with the term Negro even though they use it in a sense of prestige, like the New Negro Movement of the Harlem Renaissance or the United Negro College Fund. And yet when I use it, they want me to apologize??? Those N-words are really hard to please, huh!

The term "colored pencils" has now been replaced with "pencils of color".

If there is one thing that offends me right now, it's the fact that people are using the COVID-19 as an excuse to skip out on Church and giving of their tithes and offerings. Don't skip Church and the giving of your tithes and offerings!

I have just installed an app called Uber Eats because I'm hungry, my fridge is empty (I was too busy hunting for toilet paper and ammunition to buy anything else), and local restaurants are open for take-out only. So I looked at the food delivery apps, and I chose this one because it was advertised as international, operating in many countries.

Imagine my surprise when I learned I cannot order from my favorite restaurant (which happens to be located in godless South America), nor from my second favorite restaurant (which is in godless Europe). International?! I call that false advertising.
