God Himself has given people freedom of choice. In fact, such is part of God's great design. He does not force us down a particular path, but He allows us to choose the way we will go. On the subject of choice, God told ancient Israel, "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life . . ." (Deuteronomy 30:19).

God reveals His purpose for permitting misery during the present era, when we must struggle against our destructive nature and reasoning. It is our free will—our freedom of choice, our free moral agency—that provides the key to understanding why God allows evil and suffering to exist.
"The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil" (Genesis 2:9).

The first book of the Bible talks about two trees God created. One represented the way to life and abundant blessings, the other the way to suffering, anguish and death. He gave Adam and Eve a choice of the two trees. But He did not leave our first parents in the dark. He explained the consequences of the choices they could make and even commanded them not to make the wrong one (Genesis 2:15-17; compare 3:3).

"So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate" (Genesis 3:6).

Although man's Creator had clearly warned the first man not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, He did not prevent Adam and Eve from making a wrong choice. God had created them both in His own image and gave them freedom to choose.

God is the epitome of holy, righteous character. He has chosen always to do what is wise and good. No power greater than He forces Him to be righteous. Righteousness has always been and always will be His way of life. His nature is love, the highest expression of His perfect character (1 John 4:8, 16).

Because God wants us to be like Him, He did not make us as automatons. If He had done so, we could not build righteous character, the same character He has. He could not fashion us into His spiritual image. To build character, we must evaluate our choices and recognize their consequences. We must choose between right and wrong, wisdom and foolishness, carelessness and vigilance.

1. If god exists, then why has there been NO recordings about his existance. There is a Bible, but its no evidence because it was written by a man called John. 2000 years ago lived many famous Roman scholars. Yet they didnt record any words about the "ressurrection of Jesus". Therefore Jesus didnt exist.
2. Bible is an astrology book. Ressurrection of Jesus was in fact the end of Winter soltace. (3 days when the days are shortest).
3. Dead rising 2 is a great game where you have to survive the zombie INFESTATION. It has nothing to do about ressurrection.

Excuse me, but I believe that this whole thing has gotten quite out of hand. I am the son of an ordained minister and, I must say, I find your views on this matter quite disturbing. You all claim to be good Christian people, but you seem more interested in playing God than serving God.

First, it is not within your power to take away our God-given free will. God created us and placed us on this Earth so that we may make our own choice, whether they be right or wrong. If we obey His word and do no harm to our fellow man, then we will be welcome into the kingdom of Heaven with open arms. If we sin, however, and harm our fellow man, we are left to eternal torment in the fires of Hell. That being said, I can't help but notice that one of your smilies () seems to condone genocide. Whatever happened to "Thou shalt not kill?" God gave man free will so that we might live our own lives as best we can and, while some people may do things that we do not agree with, we have to accept that it is their decision to do such and not spend every waking hour trying to deny them that which god gave them.

Second, I must again bring up scripture that has been quoted previously in this very thread.

It is not the place of man to place judgement on his fellow man. That is a privelege given only to the one true God. And He is not a respecter of persons. Just as those you condemn will be judged for their sins, so, too, shall you be judged for your transgressions. The sins of your past, whatever they may be, are things that you will still have to answer for when you stand before Him at the ends of your lives. Will He smile upon you for trying to fill His shoes and judge and condemn your fellow man? I think not. I understand that you want to save people's souls, but you have to accept that there are some people in this world who will not be saved, who will refuse to accept Jesus as their saviors. You quote passages from the Old Testament, more specifically from Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, that you believe justify you in your condemnation of your fellow man, but seldom do you quote the New Testament, the books upon which our Christian religion was founded, wherein many passages can be found telling us not to condemn our neighbor but to "Love thy neighbor as you love thyself." That is hypocricy.

Third, the people defending this game have been unjustly label as "Unsaved Trash" and accused of being on drugs. Do you have any evidence to support this? Have you seen these people actually using the drugs? They are merely speaking their own minds and explaining things about the game to you calmly, but you condemn them for their thoughts and tell them that they are going to Hell. Damnation is not within your power. The only one who can decide if their souls are worthy of the torments of Hell is God!

Fourth, as they tried to explain to you, the zombies in the game ARE NOT DEAD. They were infected by a medical "vaccine" that caused them to mutate into terrible soulless monsters. The survivors in the game are them charged with the task of eliminating the infected parties so that, hopefully, an uninfected human civilization will be able to rise from the ashes. It has nothing to do with necromancy (which is communicating with the souls of the deceased, not raising them from their graves), necrophilia (because, honestly, there is nothing about those images that is in any way sexually arousing. In fact, they make me want to puke.), or even the passages from Revelation that were brought up earlier. It is a disease and they are trying their hardest to stop its spread. This is not unlike the way early Christians would subjugate and even kill many pagan worshippers to convert their families and friends to the religion (or, for that matter, the witchhunts of old that caused the deaths of well over 9,000,000 people, most of whom weren't even practicing witchcraft). My point is that, in its own twisted way, the game is actually teaching the players valuable lessons in teamwork and such, not compelling them to take an assault rifle and riddle innocent people with bullets.

In closing, I would just like to state that your incessant need to control everything around you and take away the rights given to people not only by God Almighty, but by our own Democratic government, is not conservativism. It's fascism.

Dead Space - game takes place in space, killing aliens
Red Faction Guerrilla - whole game takes place on mars
Mass Effect 1/2 - game takes place on different planets
Fable 2 - magic, witchcraft
Lost Planet 1/2 - takes place on another planet with monsters
