Re: I was here before I lost my mind
One integral part of God's love and about Jesus dying for our sins is the rejection of that love by His once chosen people. This is not an opinion I just cooked up, it's a simple statement of fact recorded for us in The Bible. Jesus explains:Originally posted by MitzaLizalor View Post. .. .I've highlighted the part my question relates to, which is:Originally posted by curtisedwardgrice View Posti have my Bible open on my coffee table 24/7.….if you pay attention to the wife the wife is obviously.….that's why God killed her
. . .. . .could you please provide the Scripture reference for this?Originally posted by curtisedwardgrice View PostJob's first wife is Sitidos etc.
Matthew 21:42-45 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures
The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
Now the wretched priests and Pharisees might have yawned a bit, said in silly voices ‘‘.The kingdom of G-d shall be taken from you & given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.’’ dancing around in little circles mocking; it wouldn't surprise me at all because they sure got in with the mockery later
as Jesus died. You will be familiar with the passage of course. But forgive my ignorance, I still can't recall everything you've contributed regarding Mrs Job? Please refresh my memory.
I'm aware that within the defunct religious tradition taken away by Jesus, exactly as He said He would and very thorough He was too, there were mutterings about her and speculation concerning whether the original version gave birth to all the subsequent children or not. There could have been a new Mrs Job to go with the new children. You already appreciate that concubines were an option for Job so I won't pursue that line but must insist that you quote sources (and a newspaper is not a source) for your claims.
Without The Bible we'd have no knowledge about Jesus or why His death was necessary or why Redemption was taken away from one national group and offered, as Salvation, to us. If there's a mistake in The Bible about Job, how should I decide whether Jesus was also a mistake? What about Moses? Is there a missing section where he recommends back-to-back 96-hour orgies adoring golden warthogs and got the irrits when libidinous Israelites misunderstood and made a golden calf instead? Perhaps it's in the source where God doesn't do a deal with Satan. What else is in there? When posting that material, feel free to use original languages if translation obscures the kernel of truth you are showing me. I'm quite happy to receive raw kernels at any time.
1. Psalm 118:21-23 .-.. Acts 4:10-12
2. Matthew 27:41-43 .. Mark 15:31-32

That's great. While my Old Testament doesn't have an expiration date on it, let's entertain this hypothesis, and let's see what does the New Testament says about it.Originally posted by curtisedwardgrice View PostEvery Baptist church i been to says you dont follow the Bible fully just the new testament
...Spoiler alert: it says that all God's Word needs to be followed, not just parts of it.
Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.
John 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
2nd Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
God created fossils to test our faith.

Re: I was here before I lost my mind
That's funny, because I've never been to a Baptist Church (incidentally across 3 continents) that says that. They all advocated following The Ten Commandments for a start and although some of them were a bit unusual, especially in Africa, they all accepted the teachings of Jesus. So there's something else for you to write about: What did Jesus teach about The Old Testament?Originally posted by curtisedwardgrice View PostEvery Baptist church i been to says you dont follow the Bible fully just the new testament

I used big writing just in case you have trouble reading or something. Maybe I should highlight it in yellow? Yes, I'll do that. Looking forward to your next reply due to you claim to have stuff you can teach us and I want to see what it is. And where it comes from.

I'm glad that you agree now that the New Testament says that the Old Testament has no expiration date.Originally posted by curtisedwardgrice View Postok ... (excessive whining deleted)
Are you ready now to repent for your sins and accept Jesus into your heart?
I can help you start the list of sins you need to repent for:
1) Lying about being knowledgeable about the Bible.
2) Impersonating a preacher.
3) Ignoring what the Bible says.
4) Making up stories that have the names of Biblical characters but are not in the Bible.
5) Not turning the other cheek.
6) Getting angry for no good reason.
This is just based off the last few pages of this thread, I'm sure the list would get much longer if I reread both your threads again.
I hope that was helpful.

Dear Mr. Grinch,Originally posted by curtisedwardgrice View Postyou've never been to a Baptist church really? Never omg what this site for will you look at that Landover Baptist Church. Hmmm?
Whilst I can sympathize with your lack of comprehension due to your sub-par mental faculties, I cannot understand why you are unable to read a simple sentence.Sister Mitza very clearly stated that she had never been in a Baptist Church that preached the rhetoric you spew forth. Here's a little Word from God that may help you learn comprehension:
John 1:5
“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
You need to get rid of this darkness that dwells within your soul, then maybe you will be able to comprehend what others are trying to impress upon you.
I will pray that you see the light and emerge from the darkness.
Don't depend on yourself for anything, depend on God
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
YIC
TTIsaiah 66:15
For behold, the Lord wil come with fire, and with his charets like a whirlewinde, to render his anger with furie, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
