    No, God tortures people.

Hebrews 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Athiests dont have anything to do with this discussion. I was pointing out that fact of the infant damnation belief

He was pointing your fallacious reasoning when you made an appeal to majority with your "80% of Christians don't believe" line.

The number of people who believe something to be true (or not) HAS NOTHING to do with whether that something is true.

Also, quoting a statistic without providing a source for the number given usually just convinces the listener that you pulled that and all your other "facts" out of your posterior.

37.836% of Democrat voters above the age of 57 agree with you there, Didymus.

I'm not sure what you think refute means. You have challenged what God explains in The Bible but then you need to prove your claim. That requires evidence.

Oh, that's easy. There is none. Nothing. Your sole argument boils down to: "it cannot be true because I don't want it to be true and there are many other people who don't want it to be true, either." Unfortunately, that is more of a wishful thinking than a viable argument.

As it has been pointed out to you countless times, Jesus is pretty clear in John 3:18. Those who do not believe in Him go to Hell. Period. Please note He does not say "except for children who died before they could accept me as their Savior." Nope. No exceptions, there.

No, yours is. Look at Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

Infants are incapable of belief. They don't even know what the words of the Bible mean; how could they fathom the concept of being obligated to some misunderstood preacher in Iron Age Israel who got hung on a stick until He died, let alone the reasons?

Once you accept that everyone is damned from the get-go, you'll start to understand True Christianity™, which is the only way that the Bible makes sense as a whole. You have to view salvation as much like a Presidential pardon, in that you have to admit that you are guilty in order to take advantage of the "get out of Hell free" card. If you're not guilty of anything, why did Christ die for you?

Please forgive me for choosing to trust the Bible rather than you on this issue. You can call it whatever you want, a heresy, a marshmallow, a yellow submarine, I really don't care, because I prefer to trust Jesus rather than you on this issue.

Are you now claiming that annihilations meted out to infants (or progeny of any age) are borne to punish the fathers? That suggests you believe evil..I assume you'd describe this as evil..is perpetrated by God. Where in The Bible would such an idea be supported? Perhaps you missed my earlier post:

Where?.I just re-read the entire thread but there was nothing like that. In Post #258 you made a similar claim but you didn't really start citing any form of EVIDENCE until post #282, most of which supported the positions you were trying to refute. For example you were going on about baptisms of which one was unaware "working" somehow. Until:

John 3:5 does not apply to infants whove died before a baptism Ive already been over this they do not have the capacity to sin
The old testament was written way before the new testament and its obvious the new testament did a way with a few things.
When I suggested telling your friends where you got your information about God and the need for Redemption through Jesus Christ, it was because some of them might have read The Bible. As far as I'm aware there is no other source for the historical events described by God in The New Testament and if there's another source I don't know about I'd like you to tell me.

You see if there's a friend out there who has. read The Bible and is curious about whether you have anything to support your refutation and you can't show them anything they will think you're an idiot. I don't want them to think that so would like to read your source material; it would be inappropriate to comment further until then, on this point.
