We don't condone rape. If you read the thread, you'd understand that it is the Bible which states that in order to punish a rapist, he must be made to marry his victim.

As for the victim, she has been defiled; it would be difficult to find someone willing to marry her. By marrying her rapist she "saves face", as the Japs put it. It's a win-win situation.

The Bible doesn't say that raping is acceptable, as both adultery and pre-marital sex are forbidden. The only person you may rape is your wife, who, being a woman, should serve her husband in total submission:
