    Hi

    Good evening to all.

Sylvia is my name, I attend Wheaton Bible Church in my community, spend most of my time serving the Lord there, when I am not at home, reading the Bible, Praising the Lord, cooking knitting organizing and cleaning.

I love Jesus I was saved a long while back while I lived in Los Angeles. He delivered me from that place. I am a widow. My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 31, I read it several times a day, It is truly special
1 Corinthians 7:39-40 ...but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

    Re: Hi

Welcome Sylvia Good evening to you.

You certainly seem to have your priorities in order, many false Christians put Jesus further down in their "to do" lists. I always say the same thing to these people whenever I meet them, I say "How would you like it if you were nailed to a cross to save a friends life, and then that friend betrayed you by not inviting you to their Dinner party?". In effect, this is what they are doing to Jesus when they engage in premarital sex and think they are saved because they visit a church every Sunday. I pray you are not like this.

Are you a mother? How many sons have you made for Jesus?

You are a widow? Care to elaborate?
    6
A woman came up to me the other day, 12/6/2016 and said:
"But Mr. Winner, if GOD loves everyone then why is there so much suffering in the world?"

Because GOD doesn't love everyone. Too many people have this absurd idea in their heads that GOD is all loving.
If he was all loving, then murderers, thieves and homosexuals would be waiting for you in Heaven.

GOD doesn't open his gate to just anyone. Being a True Christian™ is like a Queue Jump ticket at Disney, we are guaranteed a ride with JESUS.

You are most welcome here Sister Sylvia!

Proverbs 31 is one of my favorite chapters in all of His Word!

A woman that knows her place in the home, brings the man spirits, obeys him, cooks, cleans, sews! Praise Jesus Christ that this woman has joined us!

Bless you sister and I pray that you will not be widowed for long. You will surely find a Christian man here that will fill you so completely with the Holy Spirit! Keep your place in mind and I am sure you will find a Man that will address you in courtship.

What pies are you best at baking? I like codfish, but most here prefer traditional apple, peach and (overwhelmingly) cherry.

      May He be in you!!
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

        Re: Hi

        Dear Mr.Winner,

You are so right in your observations. One should always have their priorities straight. Especially good Christian ladies.

No, I have not engaged in premarital sex. Nor did I have the time to engage in marital sex for the Lord saw fit to kill the husband right out of church, immediately after the wedding

Elaborating, my father had betrothed me to him and died soon after. The husband-to-be then took me to Los Angeles and getting there we got married at a church of sinners!!!! Mostly people from Hollywood, actors, stuntpersons etc. They were quoting scripture from a weird version of The Good Book I have never even heard of? Sounded like hippie talk to me at the time The horror!

I prayed hard throughout the whole ceremony that I would not be yolked with those heathens and as we left the church, down three steps of stairs, the groom slipped and fell, bumped his head and off he went not to Heaven, I should think...

So, no I am not a mother but I am a good daughter of my Lord and Savior, and follow His Word to the letter
1 Corinthians 7:39-40 ...but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

That is a tough story Sister, I mean Jesus killing your husband on your wedding day. I am sure as the sun will rise that Jesus had a darn good reason to do it.

Thanks for welcoming me Rubicon Yes! Praise Jesus for directing me to this Godly Forum!

I am not so sure I am ready to move on and into another marriage yet but anything or anyone that the Lord might send my way, will always be welcomed by me

I love baking blueberry and peach ones. Codfish? I never tried, but thanks for the tip I have cooked delicious Codfish dishes in the past, why not try a pie, I'm sure it will turn out great

Hello Sylvia and a warm welcome to you.

I am so glad you have come to join us here on God's Favorite Forum.

I have seen that not only Pastor Ezekiel but several Brothers' In Christ have given you a very warm welcome and as such, I will now as well.

It also appears as through you have your womanly priorities in order as Brother Winner pointed out. That is fabulous. It is very important not to lose sight of God and by the looks you are solid in your faith.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your "husband" but it does seem that God felt a good smiting was in order in his case, considering the rough and rabble your "husband" had introduced you to!

Well, if you ever need a gal to chat with (the Brothers don't tend to be interested at all in anything other than our pies..) please feel free to contact me any time. I do have some wonderful recipes and also a few knitting patterns that may interest you and I also delve occasionally into tapestry if that too is one of your interests.

I did this one just recently:

Jesus being in so much sorrow and pain (for US) when he was in Gethsemane, makes my heart warm and I feel much happiness and rejoicing hence the above.

Oh and please, feel free to call me Sister Phebe.

                        YIC,

                        Mrs.P.Wintersnow

                        There's Jesus here,
Just see what He offers me....
                        Down here my sins forgiven,
Up there a home in heaven
Praise God, That's the way for me!!

                          Dear Sister Phebe,

First of all thanks for allowing me to call you by your first name!

Thanks for your warm welcome as there are no words to express how glad I am to be here.

Please do not feel sorry for the passing of my "husband" - quotation marks are very convenient here, he wasn't a husband for too long now, was he? He just was less than Godly in his ways and intentions so I can only be glad I did not have to endure it for long.

I always need a gal to chat with, knitting is a passion of mine, I will be thrilled to get new patterns! I too have recipes to share with you, and yes, seems like many of the Brothers on here are true pie lovers! I am told I need to get my cherry recipe straight I am going to start working on that asap.

What a beautiful work of art you did! I have never tried tapestry, would love to learn Another interest of mine is pottery I have created many beautiful pieces for my home

Should there be any gatherings with the ladies let me know I would love some good Christian girlie time.

                          Yours in Christ

                            Welcome, Sister!

It's good to have another Godly Woman on this forum. I don't every day come across one who lists blueberry among her best pies. As blueberry/cream cheese pies are my favorite, I can only applaud this, of course.

I truly hope you find a better husband soon. As Proverbs 31 is your Favorite Bible Verse, your heart certainly is in the right (that means Christian) place.
                            Sweet Lord Jesus,
I want to pray for those who persecute me, my Lord.
Please, treat their children as you treated those of Egypt, when they upset you! (Psalm 135:8-9)
Dash their little children against the stones for their fathers iniquity! (Psalm 137:8-9)
Hit them on the cheek, and smash out their teeth! (Psalm 3:7)
