Why is it wrong to question the bible? Is the bible not written by man?
Is the bible not an image of how the world was viewed upon when written? I do not wish to offend you - but I want to understand how anyone can swear that I am not as good a person as anyone else in this world.

It was written under Divine inspiration:

2 Timothy 3:16-17: All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

It is not tied to how the world was viewed when it was written:

Isaiah 40:8: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Matt. 5:18: For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matt. 24:35: Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
