    Re: Hi all, Newbie question.

A true Irish person as opposed to a what?

I get the distinct feeling you don't like me.

As I mentioned my family had no need for tartan, nor do many irish families. But if you in your infinite wisdom made one for us, do let me see it.

Fair enough, you have been helpful, I'll take that back, but if you found a tartan for me, where is it?

              Hi

As I am still a newbie, forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere. But I'm trying to reply to private messages I have received but cannot seem to be able to do so. It is in response to 3 infractions. I wanted to apologise to those who gave them.

Similarly I want to PM pastor Billy-Ruben to thank him for allowing me membership of this forum and for allowing me to particiapte in interfaith dialogue and learn more about your religion.

Please understand I am not here to convert, nor am I here to flame and ridicule. I am not that type of person. I believe we are all here for the glory of God.

However, I do like discussion and if some things in my faith differ from yours I will ocassionally get into a discussion about it and look at your viewpoint. In that respect I would ask that the infractions be removed. I have to waint 5 mins between posts and I cannot send private messages, is his because of the infractions?

Then there's hope for you yet, dear friend. The Bible (that is, the real one, not the Catholic corruption of God's Word) nowhere mentions Purgatory. Instead, the Roman institution invented it to sell indulgences and enrich its coffers. Now why do you self-identify with a religion having such a long history of evil, especially when you rightly reject some of its more ludicrous doctrines?
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

I don't know. I really don't. Fear of hell, fear of rejetion by my peers and so on. But the scandals to hit my church have spun not only me, but millions of other Catholics on our heads.

Do you know when the Ryan report was released last year, I cried, I was physically ill. I was extremely angry at the Irish cardinal, Sean Brady over his refusal to quit for his role in the cover up of the unspeakable acts of evil committed against children.

Even today as more allegations surface, his silence is deafening. When Pope Benny decided to visit the UK earlier this year, it was anticipated that 1000s of Irish catholics would travel the short distance across the Irish sea to see him, however that didn't happen, travel agents and hoteliers in the UK were gobsmacked that very very few Irish people actually went to see him. What does that tell you about the state of the Irish catholic church and respect for our so called spiritual leader. They've lied for decades about the abuse not just in Ireland, but all over the world, what else have they lied about?

                    Re: Hi all, Newbie question.

I'm glad that you're looking at the Catholic Church honestly. How can you consider an institution as depraved as that as being God's representative on Earth?

The Bible tells us that Christians will show their faith through their behavior. After all, doesn't Jesus tell us you will know men by their fruits (Matthew 7:16) By what fruits does the Catholic Church bear forth?

Psalm 119:3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

                    James 2:14
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
                    [...]
James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
                    [...]
James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
                    [...]
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

1st John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1st John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1st John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1st John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Thank you Rev. Jim. Those quotations are beautiful and make so much sense to me right now. When I try to think of the fruits the Catholic church has borne, all I can think of is depravity, greed, heresy and wickedness. As well as instilling fear and guilt in millions.

                          What are you on about?

Why do you care if some papist finally gets saved properly? You hate everyone anyway, it seems, and want them to burn.

So what amazing vision of God is Satan tricking you with? Let's guess, you had some thoughts about how the Bible is wrong and God is really like...
