I didn't ask why you believed in him, but to prove that he does. I'm sorry, but I can't put faith towards a book written by a man and altered since it's creation. Yes, life is a glorious gift and it truly is breath taking in every way. Just because you don't believe in GOD, or any other religion doesn't mean you cannot see the beauty in the world. You think atheists are all bad, ignorant, evil people. Every single one of my friends are atheists and I hate to say this, but are better people than every Christian I know. By being better people I mean we are genuinely kind people. We don't act this way because some book told us to, because we're scared to spend eternity in Hell, but because that is the right thing to do it's who we are. I'm sure you've heard of the placebo effect. You give someone that is sick a pill that does nothing and tell them it's the cure, then they are magically healed. They're healed because they believed in the pill and that it was the answer. This has the exact effect on Christians. You say GOD makes you successful and blesses you with the strength, then when something bad happens it's the Devil only testing your faith, so it strengthens your faith in the Lord. Thus, having a stronger placebo effect on your life. It's much easier for a person that's lived a life of evil that wants to change, but cannot, then finds something to believe in, and strengthen their quest to become a better person. This does not mean there is a GOD, but the simple fact that they wanted to become a better person and believed in something. You would have to admit a person that has ambition/believes in something does better than a person that doesn't.

I'll explain to you why you feel the need that you will live on forever.

Your experiencing structure cannot conceive of any event that it will not experience. It even expects to preside over its own dissolution, and so it wonders what death will feel like. It tries to project the feeling of what it will be like not to feel. But in order to anticipate a future experience, your structure needs knowledge, a similiar past experience it can call upon for reference. You cannot remember what it felt like not to exist before you were born, and you cannot remember your own birth, so you have no basis for projecting your future non-existence. As long as you have known life, you have known yourself. You have been there, so, to you, you have a feelign of eternity. To justify this feeling of eternity, your structure begins to convince itself that there will be a life after death for you- heaven, reincarnation, transmigration of souls, or whatever. What is it that reincarnates? Where is that soul of yours? Can you taste it, touch it, show it to me? What is there inside of you that goes to heaven? What is there? There is nothing inside of you but fear.

Why would he not show some sort of sign like he did in the Old Testament by smiting many cities?
Dear friend, how often do you pick up a newspaper? God smites entire countries (e.g., Haiti and Indonesia) pretty often. I'd say that smiting a whole country is a bigger sign than smiting just a city or two; wouldn't you agree?

GOD does not smite anything himself. Those are natural catastrophies. In the Bible it describes cities being destroyed by fire and brimstone, not a tidal wave, or earthquake. There is no point to faith, it's simply not wanting to know what is true. If he loved mankind so much, then why would he not bring all of us up to His glory, and make us "perfect"? All you have done is tried to get me to prove GOD doesn't exist, when all I asked for was you to prove to me his existence. I have not be given subsequential evidence to prove of his existence.

That's not true. God uses Bears to tear people apart in at least one instance.

              2 Kings 2
23And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
24And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

              Earthquake

Numbers 16:30-32 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.
And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.

There are many citations of plagues God sends, but here's one from the golden calf incident.

Exodus 24:35 And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

              Hemorrhoids

1 Sam 5:6 But the hand of the Lord was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.

              Blindness

Gen. 19:11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

              Sending angels to slaughter people.

Ezekiel 9:5-7 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
And he said unto them, Defile the house
(alternately temple), and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.

              Those are just a few.

I simply stated a few of the punishments He did in the Old Testament. I don't care how many you named because it doesn't address the point I was making. Bears are wild animals, not GOD's work to destroy an entire city. I have not seen, or heard of an entire city being destroyed by a Godly smiting ever, besides in the Bible.

My spelling has nothing to do with the points I'm making. I'm speaking clear enough for everyone to understand and what matters is the points I'm making, not how well I can spell. I know I've made a lot of spelling errors, but there is no edit option for me, and most of the things I type are too long for me to double check for errors. I'm sorry that I don't spend my day worrying about my grammar, but about the point I'm making.

You can have the best spelling in the world and use the biggest words possible, but that won't make you more right. This thread has 400+ views, but still I get insulted for my spelling, trying to disprove what I'm saying, asking me to disprove GOD, when all I simply was asked to prove His existence to me. Is it really that hard for someone to do?

No, there are no trees that old. In the case of mountains, He made them like that. Do you think everything looked brand new? Why should it? Why should there not be some style and artistry? Are you confining God?
The oldest tree that I found living at this moment is 9,550 years old. According to the Bible and based off of what I've found, the Earth is around 6,000 years old. I'm sure that makes complete sense. I too, thought I was dealing with someone that had some sort of intelligence, but if you really believe He made mountains weathered just for the look of it, then that's pretty sad. I'm guessing you don't believe in erosion, or anything like that? You know, one of the natural disasters that destroy cities, or the work of GOD, so you claim.

I need to grab my notebook and start writing.

Is it really that hard for someone to do?

Alright, you'll most likely be wasting your time, though. Just make sure to dumb it down enough for me, oh brilliant one.

Great, you almost have one person that agrees with you. What do you do spit in his eye just like you did to Sweet Jesus. Nice going moron. What absolutely astounds me is this, in 6 pages of rebukes the light switch is still in the off position. Ron White is correct, you can't fix stupid. Son how much more evidence do you need? Jesus is calling you, pick up the phone!
