My own brother's ex had a full Saddam Hussein moustache and rather impressive sideburns. I've met a lot of 'portuguesas' and not one could ever have led me into temptation, believe me.

I don't want this thread to turn into a question of what Godless country has the most ugly females ( see England).
What does make me sad is that Catholics hate Jesus. How else can you explain their obsession with Mary and dead Popes? They hate Jesus.

Well....no exactly very white. Portuguese peoples is a little more black or brown that we espanishs peoples. Is because the 'moros' (Arabs?) was there long time and have more gypsys too. Only I went in Portugal two times and was appeared to me that Portuguese peoples was very dark skinny, a little like our espanish gitanos.

No that I have a problem whit this. I like Portugal mostly. Is great place if you like eat codfish everyday and whit everything so the foods wasn't the more interesting but the peoples was quiet nice I think.

And yea, it basically depends on where you live. Same counts for Spain, someone from Cordoba or Malaga would be darker-toned than someone from Zaragoza or Pamplona. Just as in Portugal someone from Lisboa would be darker-toned than someone from Oporto.

Portuguese women are fine, just because you met some ugly ones doesn't say a thing. Also, Christiano Ronaldo would beat the American soccer team on his own.

No. No really. I saw all Portuguese very darker that we Spanish (apart of the gitanos, claro) and in Granada and Córdoba there is mant blonds peoples and the only darkest skinnys in Spain is in Extremadura and Huelva because they are many Portuguese wetbacks live there long time ago.

Are you of Porto or Lisboa? I visit Valença do Minho years ago and saw Portugal have this obsession whit towel shops everyplace and shop and street. Why is this? Is the arab legacy?

I live in the Braga district, it's quite close to the Galicia disctrict of Spain, and we look quite alot like our Galician friends imho.

Also, I don't really know where those 'towel shops' really originated from. Could be, as you said, Arab or Moorish legacy, but I honestly wouldn't know.

No, definetely Portuguese. We drove the Muslims out of here during the Reconquista. It is just that some traces of Moorish origin have left behind and merged into our culture about 800 years ago.


Also, being Moorish didn't per se meant you were Muslim. The Moors were in fact very tolerant on religion.
