If i could just change my forum name to my real name, I would, but, I have not been granted that type of ability.
      Matthew 7:1–2:

So it turns out you're just some gamertard with a bone to pick, huh?

How old are you really, and why are you here? Because I'll save you plenty of time: We are not the least bit interested in what you think about various video games. Not even slightly. We follow God's ways. That's all we're interested in, because He holds the power to send us all to Heaven or Hell as He sees fit!

And before you ask, I'll answer your idiotic question: No, video games are not found in the Holy Bible. Then how do we know they're evil?

It's called Christian Discernment. Something you'll never have, unless you become Saved(r) like me.

I don't have a bone to pick actually, mostly curious about your ways of your faith.

I am indeed a follower of Christ as previously mentioned, I do believe Heaven and Hell exist and only God can determine whether or not I'm accepted into the gates of Heaven based upon my humanly actions here on Earth.

I probably don't read my bible as much as anyone else here, but I do read it. I really do attend Mercy Vineyard church in Minneapolis, and I really did become a Christian in 2004 (born & raised in an athiest family).

here's my churches website if you're curious:

Multicultural church associated with the Vineyard Movement.

I used to attend Emmanuel Christian Center in Spring Lake Park, MN. That church had some serious political issues going on within, so I left.

I didn't see one single scripture in their about page or their values page.

                  Dreams

In one sense, we have as many dreams for our church as people that attend. However, since we started, six core dreams have shaped our community.
                  1. Evangelism: This just means we want to love and bless people who don't go to our church, not just the people who do. Jesus is good news for everyone, not just church people.
                  2. Discipleship: This means that people in our church will keep growing as people and as followers of Jesus for a lifetime. We don't want stagnant, boring lives.
                  3. Social Justice: We think a church should make an impact by serving the community and working to make our community whole. We hope that if we disappeared, we'd be missed.
                  4. Intellectual Honesty: We don't just want to believe things out of blind faith. Instead, we want to engage honestly and thoughtfully with the culture we live in.
                  5. Silence and Contemplation:We love the city, but it can be a loud, busy place with an overabundance of things to do. We want to cultivate deep lives, to know how to be quiet inside to hear God's voice.
                  6. Supernatural: We want to experience the living God in real ways. We believe that God actually does miracles and speaks to people today. How much fun is that?

Here's what Jesus has to say about this.

                  1 Timothy 4:1-2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
                  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Re: I feel the eternal damnation closing in on me

                    Thank you Pastor Will,

The church is rather stagnant, and I would like to seek another, but most churches in Minnesota are stagnant and am having a hard time finding one that would do me some good.

Regardless of the church, the churches standpoint/viewpoints, I still attend regularly and volunteer up as much time as I can as theres no value a person can place on the fruits of Heaven.

I can only hope God sees that I am willing to do any work he places before me, and will do so with a smile on my face.
                    Matthew 7:1–2:
Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

                      Also,

I've been reading more and more into these forums and the more I read, the more I want to read. So many things here they don't teach/preach in 'everyday' christian churches.

I will be doing a LOT more reading and less posting, as I now know I have quite a bit to learn before I am actually able to contribute any knowledge to the already sterling knowledge-base of everyone here.

I found this passage rather disturbing:

..we are very committed to understanding the various ways that Jesus reveals himself in different cultures. This means not only being sensitive to the needs of different cultures, but also actively seeking to learn from different ways of worshipping God and relating to each other.

..er ..just how "many ways" do you think there are to worship God?

Asking me about the churches values? I didn't make them nor to I stake claim to them.

I simply attend that church because I enjoy volunteering time in a house of God.

I am merely answering questions that forum members are asking. I am actually quite selfless and speak of God quite frequently, mostly in the workplace where it's usually unwelcome due to multiple cultures/races/religions being there.

I am a soldier of God, and even if the members of this forum don't accept me or the fact I am a soldier, I will keep on living, speaking of God wherever I go, and fighting un-winnable battles. Why? because it makes me feel good knowing I'm doing God's work wherever I am.
