  • Hello to all the saved

    Hi all.

I was raised an idol worshiping Hindu, and I hated it. I knew in my heart that it was wrong. 12 years ago, I discovered a KJV in my school library (it was a Papist school, ugh...). I didn't even know the word "Baptist" at the time, but what I read really resonated with me. 8 years, later and underwent Baptism, taking on the Christian name "John" instead of the pagan name my parents had bestowed upon me. And today, I have discovered an island of salvation within a sea of blasphemy (the internet).

What in particular about the KJV set your soul on fire for Jesus?

For me there was the realisation that Catholicism was lying about God's will and making me an idolator. As I looked at the actual Bible it all became clear to me why priests wanted us to listen to them and their "interpretations" rather than go off and make our own minds up. Reading the Bible changed my life.

So what verses made you realise that worshipping multi-armed elephant gods was just plain silly?

John 5:46,47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

      Hello John!

I think the worst thing about being a hindoo (other than going to Hell, of course ) is not worshiping Jesus.

(Psalms 96:9) "O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth."

Say, are you an injun? Not the scalping kind, the other ones that make bad movies. I worked with one of them injuns and he smelled worse than a rotten potato.

      Yours in Christ,
