Hello, bit confused about this community

Hello, I'm a Church of England Christian from London, England.

I stumbled upon your website whilst browsing the web. Is this actually a religious website, or is it a parody site taking the mickey out of American Christians?

    Many thanks,
    David

Welcome aboard, David! You say you're confused, but now it's my turn:

Firstly, I am confused that you would tell us you belong to the Church of England, yet also claim to be a Christian. Which is it?

Secondly, I am even more confused by your belief that this is a "parody site." Why would you think such a thing?

Isn't CoE a branch of Christianity, like Protestants and Catholics? Some of the views expressed on this forum were so extreme that I wasn't sure if they were sincere, or exaggerated.

        No.

        Well...

Actually, I'll grant you that point:

The Church of England is just as much a "branch" of Christianity as the Catholic church.

Unfortunately, the Catholic church is not a branch of Christianity.

As for the Protestants, what, pray tell, are they protesting against? Why, their Catholic mother church, of course!

Just as Catholicism is an heretical corruption of Christianity, Protestantism is an heretical corruption of Catholicism; you can't get back to True Christianity™ by continuing to wallow in heresy.

If you're interested in getting Baptized and experiencing Christianity in its truest, unadulterated form, stick around and we'll arrange that for you!

If you take your faith seriously and care at all what the Bible (KJV1611) says, you have come to the right place.

The Church of England is no more "Christian" than the cathylicks, despite whatever dispute King Henry VIII had with them over who he wanted to shag at the time.

What is extreme about following the sweet, sweet words of our Lord Jesus Christ to the letter? Check out the beginning of Deuteronomy 28 and tell me what you think:

(Deuteronomy 28:1-2) "1And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God."

And just so you know: there are a LOT more than 10 Commandments.

              Yours in Christ,

              Z. Smyth

I think I see the problem here. Each and every one of those churches ignores huge slices of God's word.

I have had Angelican priests tell me personally that they are Pantheists. Now does worshiping the universe sound like following the teachings of Christ?

We TRUE Christians(tm) reject the mealy mouth equivocating of weak Christians like Anglicans and teach the FULL and complete Bible.

Re: Hello, bit confused about this community

remember Matthew 5:17, where jesus his very own self said "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."

i never heard of no body who thinks that the 10 commandments dont apply, i am sure we are suppost to read the hole bible, otherwise why did they write the rest of it.

u no to welcome u to the forum, i found some anglican church recipes, here is one from st. matthew's anglican church, merylands, west in butiful ENGLAND!!! it is for Avocado Dip,

                    A very easy recipe –
Mash 1 large (or 2 small) avocados with a fork.
                    Add
                    • 1 clove of garlic
                    • 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
                    • 1 small carton of natural yoghurt
                    • a generous tablespoon of mayonnaise
                    Enjoy! and GOD BLESS

WARNING: DO NOT EAT THE AVACODO DIP! from my last post.

i checked the website for this same church where i got the recipe and in the section on talks and the first one was:

13 April 2008 1 Timothy 6:6–11 The deadly danger of riches

i think this is a liberal church and i will have to throw out the avacodo dip i made from their recipe, which is fine, it was too messican anyways, between the sermans and the imigrant recipees it seems pretty much like they promote class warfare against rich people.

                      SORRY!!

Miss Midge, for such a little woman with such a little brain you sure do think good! We should make you the little mascot for our church to show the world that people can overcome any affliction to understand and appreciate the Loving Word of our Lord.

David, you should be confused about this group. It is most holy.
I have just received a Infraction Notice (a telling off in other words) from
Mary Etheldreda accusing me of stalking Midge Murphy. Midge has dwarfism, and claims to have been healed (which is an impossibility) and this group has written some awful stuff about me, accusing me of being a lesbian, wanting to get off with Midge Murphy, and more some unprintable! The reason I have been looking at posts re Midge Murphy, is to see if at last she has admitted she has not been healed, and to see what else you have written about me.

So please Mary if you wish to ban me from this group please do, but you should know it is under investigation.

                          Thank you.
