Oh and for the record i agree with you WrongGwendolyn, these christians at this site is just something else. Their ignorant, rude and stupid. Extremists... Luckily i live in Sweden

I can see you feel very strongly about this subject, but I would be remiss if I failed to point out that "shockens" is not a word. Also, "their" is the possessive form of "they." What you meant to type was "they're," which is, of course, how you abbreviate "they are."

Remember, when you're on the Internet, people can only know you via your written communication. Therefore, it's important to always put your best foot forward and pay extra close attention to these little grammatical details.

        Hold on...

You think that what you're writing here is articles?

Oh boy, that's funny! You'd just better not be applying for any jobs with newspapers and claiming you wrote articles for the LBC Web site, because our editors will most certainly NOT be giving you a good reference.

In fact, if you dare make such a claim, the whole matter will be referred to the LBC legal team.

I just feel it's important to be precise about one's use of language. We already have enough problems with all these Mexicans, "hepcats" and text-messaging teens messing up the meanings of words.

Hey, theDeer! Good to see someone else is aligned with my way of thinking, that's really refreshing.
I won't be here long, I'm just checking in before going to school.
It was storming pretty hard the other night outside. All that rain, wind, and thunder... one would almost think God was angry at me. OH WAIT. No, those are just weather conditions that usually take place at this time of year and are easily explained with science, my bad. And if it was some kind of divine punishment, it didn't work, because the sound of wind and rain is very relaxing to me.
But here's the part that may interest you. I have always been an open-minded person. Shocking, right? But really, have I ever flat out told you, "No you're all wrong lol!" I don't think I have. I've been skeptical, but if you want to believe, you can.
Anyway, so I was laying there listening to the elements battle it out, and I decided to have a little talk with God. Of course He didn't reply, but He isn't supposed to. But I did get this feeling that He was listening. And really, I think that's what's so great about Him. If you need someone to talk to, He'll be there. Like that one old relative who always lets you into their house and you can spill all your troubles to. They won't say anything, and it might seem like they're ignoring you, but they're listening.
Maybe one day I'll find Him completely, but for now, content yourselves that I'm thinking about this. I won't ever fit your standard of a True Christian, but if there is someone watching us that we can look to for comfort, then it's good that He's there.
The Bible doesn't say this, but I believe that if there is a God, He would manifest himself to each of us depending on who we are. Maybe all I need is someone to talk to, and that's who He is in my eyes. To some, maybe He appears as a pillar of strength, because that's what they need. Who knows, He could exist as my love of my friends and family.
But anyway, those are the thoughts of this teenager. Maybe there's hope for me yet. Opinions?
Fun fact, the storm did seem to stop after a while, maybe it was a sign... But you're probably better at determining God's will then me. I could just be crazy, it wouldn't surprise me.

Finally! Some sort of self-realization, even if it's accidental.

Everything, EVERYTHING you need to know about God and morals and living and dying and right and wrong and love and relationships is RIGHT THERE IN BLACK AND WHITE.

It's when people try to add (or subtract) things from the Bible that they run into trouble, and friend that trouble will lead you straight to an eternity of hellfire.

Don't believe me? Well, let's see what Jesus had to say about it:

(Revelation 22:18-19) "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

                  Yours in Christ,

                    AMEN! Brother!

People who call themselves Christian, without actually reading the one and only important Book in the world, end up seeing God as some kind of goofy Labrador (sorry LORD), listening to all their babbling about the local weather conditions.
                    Psalm 81:10:

open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

This isn't God, this is your imagination.

We know God by reading the Bible. We know you can't understand God (Isaiah 40:28), His indignation is terrifying (Jeremiah 10:10), He is surrounded by clouds and darkness (Psalm 97:2). Does this sound like sitting around with warm and non-judgmental Great Aunt Fannie sipping a cup of tea after school?

And who are you to decide who God is? He could be anyone or anything. He could even exist in a form that is beyond our mortal comprehension. I don't think He ever said, "Oh yeah, I exist in THIS form and this form only, you are not allowed to think of me any other way." Did he? If he has, feel free to correct me.
Also, I got an infraction for going 'yappity-yap-yap'. Which is weird, because that's what everyone seems to do here. Seems pretty hypocritical to me.
It also mentioned something about me leaving. I decided to stay, I've changed my mind about this place. It's actually pretty entertaining, so I'm gonna hang around just so I can keep up with the newest things you've analyzed incessantly so you could find the smallest flaws in them and then proclaim them to be the work of the devil. It's really quite amusing.
Did you know the Puritans hated everything fun too? They thought dancing and singing was the work of the devil. And then the Salem Witch trials happened, 19 innocent people were hung, many excommunicated. Kinda tells you something about how insane religion can get... but hopefully you guys aren't like the Puritans, right?

We're not deciding who God is. We're listening to the word of God and following his laws.

Whereas you are just getting angry at us because we don't agree with the god you made up in your head that's all warm and fluffy and oddly enough matches all your views.

That's crazy talk, sister. Nowhere in the Bible do you find God saying, "I am a beetle," nor does He tell you He's a frog, fish, or flower.

Do you know what He does tell you about who He is? He says, very unambiguously, "I am the LORD."

It doesn't get much clearer than that.

                                Innocent until proven guilty.
A bunch of girls were caught dancing in the woods, and when they knew they would be punished for daring to have fun, they all suddenly claimed they were under the power of the devil and wanted to go back to the Lord, and they started accusing the townspeople they didn't like of making pacts with Satan and being witches. The blame kept getting passed around. Eventually, it landed on people who refused to let it move on. They didn't confess anything, innocence or guilt. But in that time, it was 'guilty until proven innocent' and they were hung.
All because a bunch of crazy girls let power get to their head and knew they could destroy their enemies. They might have been the possessed ones, for all we know...
