Brother Redeemed, see below how it tacitly admits to hating Jesus. I said it hates Jesus and me; he denies hating me but not Jesus. He obviously fears me, because that is how boys feel towards Real Men™, but is still in denial about the existence of Jesus and the truth of the gospel.

Gueritol, I want you to get down on your knees and pray to God for forgiveness. Your erroneous accusation that I have the virus which causes AIDS (namely, the Gay) is so transparent as to evoke my pity. I am sorry to hear that God has chosen to send you to Hell post haste, but it is probably a blessing, so long as you do not spread your gay disease to any TRUE Believers™, which God would not allow. Tell the Devil I said, "Fooey on you"!

Does the nature of the sin need to be applied to the child?
I scanned the rest of this idiotic thread, and have to wonder: Are you a retarded?

Do you not know the difference between "will" and "shall"?

"Shall" is a command. "Will" is predictive.

God is saying that those who refuse to repent WILL (as a consequence) find themselves eating their children (for example, due to famine).

Example is found in 2 Kings 6:25-29

25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

26 And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king.

27 And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress?

28 And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow.

29 So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.
God is not commanding sinners to eat their children. Why would they do so? They are already defying Him, so His commands would fall on deaf ears. He is saying that the horror that befell this woman will befall them as well.

He's not actually interested in the word of God; he's interested in riling us up and seeing if we have faith. This whole hissy fit is because He was rebuked with the actual context of his quote then shown to be a lazy dullard quote mining for controversial quotes to see what we have to say.

When we said, "So what! By the way, you haven't even understood the passage." this hatefulness started.

Amen! Jesus said many Godly things. He said that His ministry would result in the tearing apart of families. This proves He was not only a wise teacher, but was in fact the Son of the Living God! Oh, Praise Him!

                    Matthew 10:21

                    King James Version (KJV)

21And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
Below, Jesus in His Godliness gleefully curses entire cities to destruction, and praises God for forcing them to break His law through trickery. This shows that God hated YOU before you hated HIM, which shows that He is omniscient. He is glorious indeed!

                    Matthew 11
20Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not: 21Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
23And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
24But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
25At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
In the following scripture Jesus explains why He is deliberately obfuscatory in His ministry, using parables where plain language would suffice: He WANTS STUPID PEOPLE TO BE DAMNED! Praise to Him for recognizing that Heaven is only for the elite! Praise Jesus!
                    Matthew 13:10-15

                    King James Version (KJV)

10And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Below Jesus rightly admonishes hypocritical parents who claim to follow the Bible but refuse to stone their children to death when they are disobedient.

                    Matthew 15:4-7

                    King James Version (KJV)

4For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
                    5But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
6And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
7Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
Oh Christ is God! Christ is God!

Why do you try? don't you know the scriptures? REALLY know them?

Not in the sense of should, but in the will, or eventually???

Again rather than talk about God, you choose to talk about other people. :thumb down:

So just know ... a bit of grammar (I love this newly discovered internet)

In contemporary American English, the auxiliary verb shall is rarely used. In British English, shall and will are often used interchangeably with no difference of meaning in most circumstances. Internationally, will is now the standard choice for expressing future plans and expectations. However, in first-person questions shall is often used to express politeness, and in legal statements, shall is used with a third-person subject for stating requirements.

Exactly as I read it some years ago ... yet I started this discussion on the topic of the sins of the father on the son, and nobody has agreed with the consequences of the sin of the father to the son.
