Welcome, Karingan. If you're not sure that you've been saved, then you haven't been saved. My advice is to read through our forums (the Bible in a Year thread is especially good) until you understand what the Bible really says. I'm sure that salvation will quickly follow.

Karingan, let me tell you, I was once like you. OK, I wasn't doped up and gang-raped, but I was worried about what would happen to me when I died.

I didn't know if God loved me, or who the real Jesus was. I'd just heard those fairy tales most churches preach, about a god they've made up who loves everyone, even as He damns most of them to unending torment in His Lake of Fire. Of course, the god they've made up doesn't actually send anyone to Hell. Except the people the preachers think are particularly bad.

Know what I did? I read the Bible. But I didn't just read it for a class; I read it as though my life depended on it. I recommend you do the same.

Take copious notes. As you read each story, think to yourself, "What does this tell me about God and Jesus? Who does this tell me He is?" Write that down.

When you run across Commandments of God (there aren't ten; there are over 600!), write them all down. Soon, you will have a long list of things God expects you to do or not do. Disobeying any Command of God is sin.

Soon, you will realize that you've been lied to. You'll figure out the Truth about God and Jesus.

Karingan, once my eyes were opened by this Truth, I never again had a worry about what would happen when I die. Why, I don't even give it a second thought anymore. I know what will happen to me. Don't you want that certainty, too?

1) Yes, I left him, I was at least smart enough to do that.
2) Myth and Bible Literature is what the class was called, we read the new testament and that was pretty much it, we didn't dwell on it for the respect of those who had other beliefs or atheists.
3) I am only 97% sterile, from the chlamydia that my ex gave me. I would still like to have children at some point with my current fiance, so any bashing on me for being sterile I won't tolerate.

Let me tell you, Karingan, by the time you go through Genesis, taking notes about what each story tells you about who God is, you will have a whole new view of our Lord. It's nothing like what lying priests have told you.

If God wants you to be barren, you will be. If not, you won't. Sarah didn't have a baby for Abraham until she was 90.

Baptism is for adults, not infants. It is a symbol of a commitment to God; a baby can't make that commitment. Catholics invented infant baptism as something else to charge people for.

Christianity is a professed faith - you declare yourself a Christian by your own freewill that God preordained your with. The baptizing of children who obviously can't consent is one of the big sins of the Catholic Church.
