Thank you for replying. I have a piano made in Hannover. My ancestors are from Bavaria, Wiltshire, Scotland and Cornwall. You will find comments regarding certain characteristics of these regions to be unnecessary.

I noticed a possible discrepancy between your earlier and your later posts.

Second: I'm dealing with the Mormons but I'm not absolutely sure to convert, yet. In former times I was Evangelisch-Lutherisch / Lutheran-Protestant, but I left the church more than thirty years ago.

Facts are things one never needs to ignore, simply because they are facts. Perhaps were I to fancy that the moon is tartan I'd need to ignore the fact that it's not. Or say I recckon the sun to be triangular or the sky a bird, sure, then I need to disregard the fact that neither of them are either of those things.

How are we going?

But my world view would become very distorted if I disregarded those basic facts. If I warped my interpretation of obvious sensory inputs to so great an extent that the sun looked triangular, what would a set of traffic lights look like? What would a kilt look like? Would I be able to distinguish between a policeman and a fluorescent paisley bedspread?

And it's the same with false prophets. Joseph Smith is as good an example as any.

Once his criminality had been established as a demonstrable fact and bearing in mind that there is no such thing as accidental fraud, disregarding that fact warps everything else seen through the same lens.

The lens of false religion.

We already know that many texts purporting to be religious or holy or inspired were born in a web of deceit and crime and this book of mormon is not actually the most recent. Comapred to the koran though, well, it is later than that. But demonstrably false. Are you claiming The Bible is also false? What evidence could there possibly be for that?

America is not built on deception but on solid foundations set in place by God, with bricks of prayer having the mortar of sound institutions binding them together. God does not abandon such a nation and people claiming otherwise need to consider their eternal destination very carefully.

Will it be with God in Heaven singing praises to Jesus (who will never tire of hearing them)?

Or will it be in HELL FOREVER?

My God, what a posting. You've made me confused. I've left the Lutherans thirty years ago. Since then and until the Mormons came I never visited a church or any ceremony. Then, seven years ago, I met the Mormons, after I had called them late in the evening in Hamburg-Osdorf because I'd had some kind of (divine) vision when I was coming home from a supermarket here (and due to that I was really shaken and nervous). I took their number from the telephone book and phoned them, and I spoke to a kind man who first listened to me patiently and then was talking with me (with a very strong American accent). Later I heard he was the president of the Mormon Mission here in Northern Germany. Then the missionaries came to visit me several times and we had uncountable conversations and chats about faith and their doctrine. They invited me and I visited their parish house, which is not a thousand meters away from my home, several times. I met the bishop, I met the president, uncountable missionaries and many members of the yard here. So it all started.

Where is the discrepancy you have found? I haven't converted yet, that means I'm not (re-) baptized yet even if I had several dates for that ceremony. Perhaps you might call me a "dry" Mormon or whatever. I don't know exactly. I only know they've given me much in faith.

PS There is one point concerning baptize: I was baptized at the age of one year, so I don't remember it. But I can't desecrate that first baptize replacing it by a new baptize. I believe, my first baptize when I was an infant is lasting and being sacred in front of God forever, because it was followed by the confirmation at the age of sixteen... that's my problem with a new baptize by the Mormons that I have avoided yet. You see what I mean?

Gotcha! A soul is immortal!

We have psyche, nous, soul, spirit, breath; the Greek words also indicate air and wind. The mind dies with the brain. The soul motivates us and is sometimes equated with the limbic system (this is what your mormons have been exploiting, look it up). Our organic nature however is the vehicle for something greater, something which endures. Something real.

Being a traitor to your faith and havig left it 30 years ago are the same thing. There is the first resolution.

Not yet having converted to the creed, being a "dry mormon" (very expressive that, thank you), means that by walking away you are not betraying it. You are not a traitor. Whatever they have given you is a staged series of crises and resolutions which can never float in the real world. And reality is the last place they want you to look.

Oor earnest entreaty is that you step back, look outside mormonism, look outside yourself. Recognise The Truth.
