I would ask you all to look with compassion upon those who are raped. The idea that "only sluts get raped" is a sweeping and stereotypical statement one that we should never use to judge others by. There may be cases where a woman dresses so provocatively that she entices a man to rape her but I as you to remember that Jesus said that "anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away" (Mthw 5:28-29)

Does this not remind us that it is the perverse nature of the man lusting after a woman who is not his wife or his betrothed that is causing the sin rather than the dress of the woman?


We are called upon as members of a peace loving and kind religion to remember that we should “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Mt 5:44), All who hear these messages of such unkindness and of such judgement I ask you to pray for those who speak them, and not to allow them to cause you pain or to judge them to harshly. Welcome to the forum, HS-NS. It looks like you haven't read Rev. Osborne's sermon on the most misunderstood passage in all the Bible. He reminds us that "Matthew 7:1-5 is not a prohibition against all judgment. These verses are a warning against hypocritical judgment, not judgment in itself." He goes on to quote Bible verses that tell us to judge, such as:

Lev 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

Ps 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

Jn 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

1 Cor 5:12-13 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

I can foresee you're going to try to tell us that God hates the sin but loves the sinner (your user name is a bit of a give away), so I'll cut you off at the pass. Notice in the following verses that God does indeed hate not only sins but individuals.

It is a sad fact that vast majority of people who come to our friendliest of forums are villainous God mocking haters who come only to ride roughshod over our most cherished beliefs.

You will also notice that you have very few posting privileges. I have not quoted your whole post as I am not particulary competent at forum posting, but I will try and address my personal views on the statements you are posing.

Having now read Rev. Osbornes’ sermon, I understand the point he is making, that we can judge but not judge hypocritically. I would however argue that judging all people who are raped as having provoked it (i.e. “Only sluts get raped”) is not using “righteous judgement” (as you are judging without considering the entire population of rape victims) and using poor judgement in tarring all with the same brush, i.e. being stereotypical. I accept that the bible verse I used earlier referring to Mathew 5 was a poor choice for the point I was making, and am happy to withdraw it, possibly pointing towards one of your verses “judge not according to the appearance but judge righteous judgement” (Jn 7:24). I would point to numerous cases where a woman is raped whilst not wearing provocative dress. I would also like to point to cases where people who are 90 and live at home when a man has come and raped them. Is a man entering someone’s home and raping the 90 year old resident the fault of the 90 year old? Are they, while at home and not putting themselves on public display, enticing someone to rape them? Is the statement “Only sluts get raped” righteous when there are so many cases where this is NOT the situation?

As to my username, I completely agree, it is a bit of a giveaway! However, no-where in the bible is this phrase said. It was said in 430AD by a catholic saint supposedly, although there are no written sources that I have found prior to 1924. I just think that it is a good moral to live by. I certainly would doubt that god loved the people who flew planes into the world trade centre on 9/11!

It was the Catholic invention of the drunken sodomite St. Augustine who once wrote, “Cum dilectione hominum et odio vitiorum,” which translates to “With love for mankind and hatred of sins.” Catholics think “loving mankind” is buggering altar boys, so their thinking is pretty muddled up there. They also think cannibalism is fine, and Mary is the fourth person of the Trinity. Clearly they are not the brightest bulbs in God’s creation, and should not be trusted with advice about faith or morals, and why you'd emulate their foolishness in your username is but a testament to your ignorance about the Holy Word of God. While that may be understandable to our human thinking (after all, how could you be expected to know what you were never exposed to), it makes no difference to the LORD. Ultimately, you will either be treated to an eternity of torment and suffering, or you will be spared based on the genuineness of your belief in Christ (John 3:18). Surely you can see it behooves you to understand the Real Christ so as not to put your faith in a false facsimile thereof.

The popular phrase as we know it comes from Mahatma Gandhi, who wrote in 1929, “Hate the sin and not the sinner.” Gandhi was a vegetarian who ate bugs and used his bare hand to wipe his ass. Why anyone would take anything he said seriously is beyond me.

In reality, the Holy Bible says God hates sinners and fools (Psalm 5:5). Some sinners He absolutely abhors. This includes Sodomites (Leviticus 20:13), but also wicked boasters (Psalm 10:3), people who love violence (including, but not limited to minecraft fans; Psalm 11:5), prideful people, liars, killers, mischievous people, and etc (Proverbs 6:16-19), the people of Gilgal (Hosea 9:15), and of course Esau (Malachi 1:3; Romans 9:13). God also hates cripples, dwarfs, and people with eczema (Leviticus 21:18-20). It is obvious your 90 year old rape victim falls into one category or another which has incurred God's wrath, for she will have sold her soul to the highest bidder (prostitution of her virtue), and so the LORD rightfully lifted any veil of protection He might have otherwise placed over her.

Have you read the Bible's judgement on your hypothetical situation? The 90-year-old woman should be put to death because she was raped in her home, in the "city," not in a field. She obviously didn't cry out; otherwise someone would have rescued her. I am, of course, assuming that the 90-year-old woman is married, or has been married, and is not a virgin, in which case she would have to marry her rapist.

Thank you for explaining these nuances to our new unsaved friend. It is extremely important that we consider all pertinent factors. It would be terribly unAmerican to administer the incorrect punishment to a woman who is raped. If she is guilty of adultery and deserving of death that is one thing, but if she is a victim and deserves to marry her rapist we must ensure that the rapist cares for her and empowers her to bring forth children into this world. It's not like any other man wants her now. What is an unmarried woman without a hymen worth? Nothing, of course.

Ok no one, I repeat NO ONE deserves to be raped. NO ONE. Regardless of what they we’re wearing, if they we’re drunk, THERE IS NO REASON TO RAPE. As for abortion, we literally need abortion. Sometimes its absolutely necessary. Condoms can break, or it can be a complete accident even if someone takes birth control pills. Most of the time abortions make life easier for the parent, and the unborn child. The child won’t have to suffer true the horrible life they would’ve had, while probably in poverty and not having clean clothes or food.
