Re: 10 Reasons why GOD HATES SWEDEN!
I hope you don't mind if I edit out your swearing. It just makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. It's not that I'm trying to be malicious but it just that I let my young son browse this forum with my help and I don't like him seeing some of the things you are writings.
As for the church ruling the world? Well, it's not that simple, to be fair. Christian, even if they aren't hated (that much) right now, we did have to suffer a lot in the past. Christ and God may have ruled Europe for several hundred years but outside of this land we were killed and laughed at. We were driven out of the land that our saviour died in and pushed from pillar to post. It was not a good time and for our suffering God rewarded us with land. Have you heard of the Roman Empire feeding our devouts to the lions?
Not a nice time.
As for the Earth being flat... ahh... well, I'm not an expert in many things so you might want to talk to someone else for that. Sorry if I'm not that helpful.
Well, to be honest, God made our world for us to rule over it and enjoy it so I don't see too much help in most technology, however, a lot that is going on in the science and technology world seems just... wrong.
Trying to find evidence to say God was wrong and he doesn't exist is like smacking your mother in the face and rebelling against her even though she wants only what is best for you. I don't believe that some scientists have our best interests at heart; some might do but I think they're looking in the wrong places. You have to look inwards to God; not outwards to evidence.
It's bad for children to listen to the wrong voice- there're easy to manipulate.
Now, I do understand that some of people in this forum do come off a bit harsh. It must be quite aggravating to hear such 'opinionated' posts against something you feel so strongly about. However, just as you are angered by what we post- many people on this forum will be angered by what you wrote. I dislike flamewars and I think this arguement has just came to a point where we are all just spouting nasty words at each other and trying to act the toughest.
It's not an ideal position.
As for opening my eyes to see what you see? Well, I'm quite happy where I am. I may be imperfect and flawed, I may be thick in the head and cursed with sin, I may be filled with rage (just see one of my last threads- yikes) but I'm happy knowing that I will die and be passed on to heaven. It may seem silly to you but it's truth.
I really do respect you and like you despite our... dissagreements.
With faith,
Isaac
