There was a lot of stewing in one's own juices, Mrs. White.

That is the best way to roast a bird, indeed. Obviously, with loads of garlic, hot pepper (carolina reapers are one of the best these days, although I do prefer the rocoto pepper flavor), salt, and some cumin. Cover with foil and let it "stew in its own juices" (to use your words) at 350 F.

Cumin always makes things taste like they were dropped on the floor. Garlic leaves you sweating at 2am breathing fumes and chili peppers don't even ask about them. For something an American could eat, order delivery.

That is a strange expression indeed. I've never heard it, but then again, I try to avoid any interactions with individuals belonging to the lowest social strata.

Oh, I couldn't agree with you more, dear Sister Basilissa. I couldn't agree more! Where on Earth did that New York -Times get that fake information, anyway? How long did it take for them to cobble a bunch of fake photos and papers together, in a foolish attempt to make this sound legitimate? Why, any teenager in this day and age could fabricate any number of fake documents on his or her computer. That Photoshopping gadget is very convincing, I must say.

Our poor, poor President Trump -- always the target of these hateful people. The clearest loser from the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden was America. The 90-minute encounter went so badly that on cable news afterwards the talk turned instantly to whether the second and third debates planned before election day could go ahead — although the Biden campaign was quick to insist he will turn up for them too. In fact, last night was not a debate in any meaningful sense. It was an ill-tempered and at times incomprehensible squabble between two angry septuagenarians who palpably loathe each other.

Currently I'm most offended by the whole upcoming election!

Specifically the damned Democrats. America has gone in a whole new direction under President Trump... taxes have been cut, many wonderful new conservative judges have been appointed, China, North Korea and Russia have been humiliated time and time again, God's virus has delivered divine justice, and the stock market is booming. The Demo(n)crats have no way of countering that track record and even they know it, and they have no real policies of their own to run on (let alone a functional candidate), so they're resorting to their old tricks and waging this pathetic mudslinging campaign against the most hard-working president this nation has had for about 30 years.

And the media is doing everything in their power to control public opinion with their "polls". "Trump to lose in a landslide!" Just like he did four years ago, huh? What a joke. But at least one thing has never changed: the Democratic primaries were an unbelievable freak-show as always. The candidates were an old senile socialist Roman Catholic pedophile, an old but maybe not quite yet senile Jewish Communist revolutionary, an anti-gun Jew from Sin City, a corrupt 12-year-old gay mayor, a negro woman socialist, and a white woman socialist who claimed to be an Indian! And the old senile socialist Roman Catholic pedophile won by cheating the nomination for himself! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly entertained watching that mess unfold, but I was more outraged than anything. This is anything but the America our ancestors fought for.

If they manage to rig the election, I'm standing by the lawful President! No more Catholics for the White House! When has that ever ended in anything but disaster?

And I argue that the Irish lecher's entire presidency was one big disaster from start to finish, and that he was hands-down the most overrated president ever. A clown in foreign policy, started some socialist programs. And his final disaster of course gave us LBJ who built on those socialist programs even more enthusiastically and gave us hippies and other welfare bums instead of fully concentrating on the oriental war effort.
