  • A little scared and confused

My name is Maria Knight and I've come here with a dilemma.

I recently spent a few nights at a motel because I was simply paranoid about this whole Coronavirus thing. Well, I had heard that sometimes people leave money in those motel room Bibles, and even though I didn't really believe it I was bored and quickly flipped through.

Lo and behold, I found a dollar. Not much, but I found it amusing nonetheless.

What really freaked me out was the page I found it. It was at the beginning of Isaiah 38. And when I read the first few verses I got a chill down my spine.

"1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,

3 And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

4 Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,

5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years."

The only times I've been to church were q couple weddings and my grandmother's funeral, so this whole religious thing is very new and I'm really kinda scared right now.

I don't know if this was a sign or just a really weird coincidence.

    Please help.
Ephesians 6:23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

    Friend,

I bid you welcome to our forum. First off, you need to settle down as the fearful will have no place in God's Heaven.

Revelation 21:8 King James Version (KJV)

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

With that being said, What church do you attend, when did you accept Jesus into your sinful heart? and what is your favorite Bible verse? Bear in mind that Jesus will only accept the KJV 1611 version. No other version is acceptable here.

    In Christ,

Thomas K. White (That's Mr. White to you Sinners! )

    Rev 20:11-15

Hello and to our friendly forum, Maria!

Well, well, well. The signs of the End Times are showing stronger and stronger, and people start flocking to God's Favorite Church!

The good news is: it is not too late, yes, you can repent for your sins, read the Bible (the whole thing, not just a few nice-sounding verses) and follow it, all of it, all the time.

And no, there are no coincidences.
God created fossils to test our faith.

      My favorite LBC sermons:
      True Christians are Perfect!
      True Christian™ Love.
      Salvation™ made Easy!
You can’t be a Christian if you don’t believe the Old Testament.
Jesus is impolite. Deal with it.
Jesus is xenophobic and so should we.
Sanctity of Life is NOT a Biblical Concept.
      Biblical view on modern-day slavery.
The Immorality of the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights."
Geneva Conventions vs. The Holy Bible.

Hello, Maria, and a very warm welcome. I must admit to being a bit curious about this, which makes very little sense to me:

It seems to me that a motel is the very last place to cower away from God's Wrath. Where would you normally spend the nights? Do you usually work the streets?

What is your usual rate? And are you absolutely sure it wasn't just tucked in there instead of being left on the bedside table? Given the choice of verses, it sounds to me as though whoever left it was alerting you to the fact that he had probably infected you. Have you seen a doctor?
Vaccinated by the love of Jesus!!!

I work in a restaurant. I went to the motel because anytime 1 person in my apartment building has even a minor cold, everyone gets sick. So with the whole pandemic going on, I figured it would be safer away from that building for a while.

Wow! Do you people all fornicate and then share a single bowl, spoon, and cup?

Now, there is no need to panic. You need to understand that disease is a punishment from God.

            Deuteronomy 22:58-62
            58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, The Lord Thy God;
59 Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the Lord thy God.

So the best way to not get sick, is avoid angering God. Plain and simple.

            I hope this was helpful?

Hello sweet Maria, I'm Phil Hucker! I just wanted to say, it's okay to be a little confused. Being a woman, it's your default state. As a theonomist, I'd like to help you understand how best you can put that dollar you found to good use. This isn't some Joel Osteen prosperity gospel pile of hoowie, this is bonafide tried, true and tested theological advice I can offer you. Take that dollar, and find the nearest pay-phone, and dial, >>>PERSONAL INFORMATION REMOVED BY JesOS<<< and I will speak personally to you, and if you're in the >>>PERSONAL INFORMATION REMOVED BY JesOS<<< area, you can come to my office. Be mindful please, some of the furniture has been moved around thanks to some pesky audits, and reshuffling, but ignore that, because I'll sit you down and get right to business and clear up any confusion you have about your finances during the corona outbreak, about your connection with Jesus, and how the two intertwine and affect all aspects of your daily life! I'd like to get to know you better Maria, I really do. Please think it over! Love, Phil.

Dear Miss Maria: Kindly ignore the rantings of Mr. Hucker. He knows surely, instead of hustling his way around you, he should be doing his studies on the , and writing a short essay on what the salvation of the and , , means to him. But, is he doing that? Oh, good Heaven, no! He would much rather fritter his time away, by trying to sweet-talk the likes of impressionable, young women who have come to to seek help from the servants of Almighty. So, Dear, if you don't mind some sage advice, please disregard Mr. Hucker's suggestion that you contact him. Rather, you should spend that dollar on a postage stamp for when you will be sending your tithes to .

                  May richly bless you, Dear.

                    Dear Maria,

Don't be foolish and put that dollar in a payphone. That's like robbing Jesus Christ. He is very specific about this!

Malachi 3:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Welcome Maria. If it is answers you seek, the Bible you were reading is the right place and as you are seeking fellowship with Christians, you have come to the right place. We are Christian here and friendly. It will be our pleasure to guide you to God's word and help you along the road to salvation. It is a narrow path to Heaven and fraught with the Devil's temptations, but all other paths lead to Hell.

Do please tell us of your life in godless Houston. We are anxious to hear your story.
