Re: How can a person be a Christian and a midget at the same time?
I think I adopted the dwarf lifestyle because if the slapstick-style humor inherent in daily life. People used to say to me "I don't care if you FEEL like a midget on the inside, just don't act like one."
But this was the fun part!! Climbing up on a toilet like a spider monkey and letting my legs dangle over. In a public toilet, no less. Watching people almost sit on me on an airplane. The looks on people's faces at the bank when the lady goes "Next! Next!" and the buy behind me won't step up but she can't see me down there, and then my little pudgy hand reaches up holding a check to cash and she gets all embarrassed!! Fun times!!
And then I found Jesus. First, I stopped acting like a dwarf in public. I practiced sitting on barstools, going up stairs, wearing clothes from the adult section of K-Mart. Soon, with prayer and meditation, I no longer FELT like a midget and I no longer WAS a midget. I am 5' 8" now, and proud of it, praise Jesus.
I am no longer even tempted to scootch the seat up when I drive my car.
