    Re: How can a person be a Christian and a midget at the same time?

    I think I adopted the dwarf lifestyle because if the slapstick-style humor inherent in daily life. People used to say to me "I don't care if you FEEL like a midget on the inside, just don't act like one."

    But this was the fun part!! Climbing up on a toilet like a spider monkey and letting my legs dangle over. In a public toilet, no less. Watching people almost sit on me on an airplane. The looks on people's faces at the bank when the lady goes "Next! Next!" and the buy behind me won't step up but she can't see me down there, and then my little pudgy hand reaches up holding a check to cash and she gets all embarrassed!! Fun times!!

    And then I found Jesus. First, I stopped acting like a dwarf in public. I practiced sitting on barstools, going up stairs, wearing clothes from the adult section of K-Mart. Soon, with prayer and meditation, I no longer FELT like a midget and I no longer WAS a midget. I am 5' 8" now, and proud of it, praise Jesus. I am no longer even tempted to scootch the seat up when I drive my car.
    Paying for the sins of my hateful parents since pre-birth. Jeremiah 32:18. Now cooking for Jesus as inspired by Deuteronomy 8:3.

      What an inspiration you are! I hope your example shines in the dark, sin-encrusted hearts of foul heathens everywhere so that they can see the practical application of putting off one's old sinful ways, and putting on the New Man! Your New Man is beautiful Midge, and I for one am happy to no longer have to suffer that stumpy old one (that midget thing was more than a little creepy, the humor notwithstanding).

      That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
      And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
      And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

        I am so confused by all this. I thought dwarfism was a genetic thing?

            I think my allergies are probably hereditary. I've been praying for God to heal them, because I hate having to take allergy medicine, which I regard as just another type of mind-altering substance.

            Maybe I just need to step out in faith and stop taking the meds, no matter what.

              Faith Machine, I think you should just trust in the Lord like you always do, which means stop taking the medication. The allergies are probably caused by this reservation you still hold with the Lord that makes you doubt his miraculous healing power. Think of how strong your faith will become when you stop taking this wicked drug that is standing between you and your Creator!

              It has also come to my attention that street people sometimes use allergy medications. I think this settles the issue.

                For what it's worth, I have already stopped taking my blood pressure and thyroid medication, and I feel great. Sometimes I feel my heart pounding in my chest, but I just thank the Lord for blessing me with such a visceral reminder of the previous life He has infused me with.

                  I would just like to remind everybody that midgets can scarcely be considered human, much less Christian. They don't even look human, more like something from science fiction.

                    How beautiful a testimony, ex-Midge! I'm glad you have grown to a proper ladies' height, though on the little tall side! Remember that you are always below a Christian man, no matter what his (or your) height is.

                      There's no denying that's true, however, I suspect that because you are small, your soul will be smaller and your faith somewhat less, so it's an uphill struggle for you.

                      However, the Lord has promised it, and he keeps his promises.

                        Re: How can a person be a Christian and a midget at the same time?

                        It is difficult for us here on Earth to understand the full workings of the Lord God. His works are a mystery to us quite often and, frankly, we are not always meant to understand. The Lord is frequently completely unconcerned that we have no idea what He is up to.

                        We have no idea, usually, what sins are reflected in the smallness of a dwarf. It is not important for us to know exactly what sins have been punished or what wretched behavior has been going on. It is enough to know there has been sinful activity and that has led to continued smallness.

                        However, it is quite clear that smallness can be cured by the love of God. Children are born as little wretches who know not the Lord. They are unsaved and Hell bound, just like a dwarf. Yet, as the child grows older, he can be more pleasing to the eyes of the Lord and he will grow in size, both physically and spiritually. Obviously, many sinners grow to a larger size. Some of them are even made fat by the Lord, so it is clear that God will punish with bigness, as well as smallness.

                        The key here is that as a sinner grows in faith, the Lord makes sure they grow in size, within reason. Thus, it is possible for a dwarf to be a Christian and grow with the Lord. All sin can be overcome through faith in God and a personal relationship with Jesus.
                        God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11

                          Powerful testimony, ex-Midge. Thank you for having the courage to come out of the drawer, in the first place.

                          Romans 3:23 tells us that we "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Clearly, you were an over-achiever.
