While I agree that we should not abuse the sun by extracting its power, please do find me a verse where it says that we are supposed to "protect and nurture" the earth.

In Genesis 1:26-28, we see that the Lord made man in His own image. That is, man is the King of the Earth, but really more of a sub king or something like a vice president, because the Lord is really the King of the Earth. For the understanding of the unsaved, man holds the equivalent position of President Barak Obama, who is the President of the United States, but the country is really run by the Jews on Wall Street.

We are given dominion over the fowls and the fishes and all the animals so that we can eat them and bend them to our will. When we protect the cow from the wolf, it is not for the benefit of the cow, it is for the benefit of those who God wants to eat the cow. When we keep the hawk from the chicken, it is so we can eat the chicken. When we feed the Democrats with food stamps, it is not for their comfort, it is so we can work them harder. And so on.

You make an excellent point. Weaker winds would mean increasingly less violent storms and hurricanes for God to send against people who don't serve Him. Eventually we would run out of air to breathe.

Jesus would never let it get that far, of course (Matthew 24:22).
