Against your alleged PhD in astrophysics:

- you, allegedly, had to take a high-altitude flight to convince yourself that the earth isn’t flat;

- you made a fool of yourself here without being aware of it;

I think this whole debate is stupid. You all say God wants this and wants that and says to hate these people because they don't follow our beliefs and that science is wrong. Coming from someone who has a PhD in astrophysics, and has been in a plane that went high enough to see the curvature of the earth, the earth is NOT flat. The sun is 93 million miles away. The sun is not a diamond, because if it was it would not give off any heat. Gravity is proven to be real, along with the other facts I have just mentioned. You guys are so ignorant that you cloud your own judgments by taking the bible out of context. You use single phrases in the bible as weapons against other beliefs, but when you read the whole passages, they aren't intended for your personal arsenal. The bible is a story, to use as a guideline to do good yourself. It also shows how our God loves us so much, that we should be inspired to just be helpful to others and be kind to all living things. Coming from someone who loves space as much as I do, and mathmatics, I still love God and you all should understand you aren't always right. Were you there when this all happened? No. Did God personally tell you that you can insult other people and call them scum of the earth? No. Do you guys have ANY idea what you're talking about other than just getting upset because you guys can't prove anything? No. I feel horrible that you guys think you can trump around and insult people for what they believe in, instead of embracing their belief and just feeling sorry for them (if you think their views are wrong.) The bible has been changed over and over and over again over the past thousand and some odd years, so for you to just blindly follow some stupid text that humans wrote about something that happened 2000 years ago is your own problem. Just because I don't believe what you tell me to doesn't mean I'm condemned to hell. I pray when I feel I need to. I ask for forgiveness when I know I need to. Ok, just a quick question as I want to learn, I'm currently an atheist that wants to understand more about Christianity.

How come you all so obediantly trust the bible? It is, as you all yourself have confirmed serveral times that its written by humans(Obviously) and for what reason can't they just have come up with everything or been fooled by satan to write it so that you will follow it and make you mock God himself? its a book written what, serveral thousand of years ago, and the only proof you have is their word that the words they wrote are Gods word, and yet you prefer to believe their word rather then the word of current scientists that got more proof of how it works(if we now just imagine that God and Satan doesnt excist, only in a hypothetical idea so to speak) then the Bible got, that once again is just Christians believing in the world of some serveral thousand year old men.

Also don't take this as anything against God or Christianity what so ever, I just want to learn and believe. And if your gonna reply, please dont just go with the random jibberjabber about me hating Jesus and avoiding the question as I really want an answer about this, and if its a good answer I obviously will believe that Satan is mocking God with this fakescience!

Besides before mentioned Biblical evidences that the Holy Bible is inerrant, that is accurate and totally free of error, we have as well logical proof on that. Have you ever heard about the True Christian™ Circular Reasoning™? Here it goes:

Also by serveral thousand men I refered to people that lived thousands of years ago, which today they are +1000 years old, dead or alive.

Once again, I'd like an answer to why you belive the word of one human more then the word of another human so much more?

And in the bible it tells you to love your fellow human, and as far as I'm concerened Im human no matter what my beliefs are, and so are all the humans here on the forum, no matter if they are muslims, atheists, agnostics or christians.. so why are you hating on others when the bible tells you not to?

Also saw a post here about a guy that had been so high up in the air that he could see that the earth aint flat, and your reasoning for not beliving him was that he was bad mannered.. thats pretty poor "scientific" reasoning as this is what the thread is about. And I will make a introduction tomorrow as I want to be clear in my head when I write it.

Who said you were SMOKING a "joint" ? You could just as easily be mainlining it or snorting it or etc. etc. HOW you do your "drugs" is not important: it's what you are doing to your BODY that is the issue here:
