That makes no sense. Emulating the exact conditions that were present in the early years of Earth and watching what happens doesn't insert intelligence into it at all.

Of course the life would eventually emerge. What you always forgot, that the the time from first organic molecule to self-replicating monocellular life was more than twice as long as the time between first monocellular life to this day. That's how complex it is for life to emerge. Good luck making any experiment, that would disprove that.

Computers work in a different way than brain does and are not nearly enough complex. Current computers are like insect. We need at least birds.

That would of course be impossible with current computers, because all we do is making them faster. Radical change in their architecture would be needed first.

Evolution is process of reacting to environment and only beneficial changes get incorporated. And the same process is used every day in modern technology. In fact this evolution is what people use to design things and not the other way around.

Wood reacts to heat by burning without any brain. The same way offspring born with mutation giving him higher chance of survival is more likely to survive and have his own offsprings. There is no consciousness needed.
