When we rebel against God, it isn't long until we bear the consequences - including in a physical means of punishment (Psalm 107:17). These sinners, wandering about in public wearing what are basically undergarments (horrors!), are flaunting their cyborg limbs in complete defiance of God the Father, Creator of us all.

Psalm 38:3 is quite clear that when God is not pleased with us, He will visit infirmities upon our flesh. This is even further pointed out in Micah 6:13. When we glorify those who have sinned grievously enough for God to punish them like this, we open ourselves up to the same punishments. I completely agree that the paralympics (better titled the sinalympics) must cease to exist.

What we're doing is extending the "everyone gets a trophy" mentality that so many mamby pamby parents unleash on their children. "Oh, it's ok, Billy, that you struck out four times today. Here's a trophy and a coupon for a free Frosty." "No problem that you didn't go beyond the first round of the spelling bee, Sally. Here's your trophy and a brand new dictionary."

I'm appalled by these pictures and I pray that the LORD takes action as we agree in Jesus' Name.

I just finished reading Cranky Old Man'a thesis on why downsyndrome is a lifestyle choice and am pretty sure the same argument can made for these physically retarded people as well. God created mankind in his image. God did not intend in a perfect godly setting for man to lose some limbs. How can an amputee possibly be happy with himself/herself knowing they are physically retarded? Much less ruining God's image of how man should look.


That brings up another point though, and this isn't an argument either. If you had to choose between dying or saving your life by cutting off a limb, what should you do? Refusing an operation that can save your life easily is considered suicide. The latter makes you less heavenly as well as being a freak.
