As an atheist, why should i care what the bible says, for me this is not justified source of information and never will be untill god has been SCIENTIFICALLY proven to exist. Same goes to bible being trustwotrhy source of information. This book is morally wrong anyway making it morally ok to kill people and taking slaves. I don't give a damn about contexts. What ever the efin context is IT IS NOT OK TO KILL ANOTHER HUMAN BEING OR KEEP HIM AS A SLAVE. So, if you theists wanna prove me wrong you better come up with something better than quotes from the bible.

The simple fact that you looked for God, found Him here and took the effort to sign up. Why you even had to answer a Bible question. A person who does not believe in something does go to all that trouble. Unless they are insane and irrational.

I find it interesting, you come to a Christian site, have people want to talk about the Bible yet you want something else.

Maybe because it's the most influential book ever written in any language at any time in human history, and has guided the thoughts and conduct of the vast majority of the most notable members of Western civilization (including yourself, whether you realize it or not), for the last 2,000 years?

After the sun sets tonight, you will have the proof that shows your faith was justified. But you will still need faith to believe that it will happen again.

Yes, it would be foolish of me to claim that the sun will absolutely 100% set tonight. But it has nothing to do with faith and i also have no reason to think that it will not before it really doesn,t set. That the thing with the science. I can claim that it will probably set tonight based on the fact that it has done so every night since and the earth has not stoped moving yet and the sun will set unless it did stop. But as for the religion you do not have anything on your side besides your belief. You can not prove word of god to be true with quotes from words of god. In that case i coud just right here claim that i am your god and this post is my word of god, therefore i AM your god. But just sounded silly, right?

But you aren't basing your belief that the sun will come up because of any original research you've done: you're relying on the calculations and observations and best guesses of hundreds of years and thousands of scientists.

How do you think the Bible came to be the world's most popular and most influential text? It was because God wrote it. Our Sacred Book divides households and nations alike, causing wars, desolation, and utter tyranny on the most global of scales (Matthew 10:36). Isn't it wonderful?
