Check WHAT history? All history is corrupted with liebral propaganda and the like. History is trash, like evilutionism and science that says the Earth is round and not the center of the universe and other lies.

The most accurate history book are history books written by academics (shocking!!!). The Bible should not be taken at face value, the Bible was written by several different people, take the only book that says homosexuality is wrong (Leviticus), that book appears in the Hebrew Scriptures. When the HS were written the Hebrews were at war over the Fertile Crescent, they were apocalyptic, it looked like their world was ending. The Scripture was passed around, which is why there is 4 different accounts (Yawhist, Elohist, Deuteronomical, Priestly), which means it was written by 4 different groups in war. People were being exiled, horrendous stuff was happening. The verse "If a man should lie with another man it shall be an abomination" was written by the Levite Tribe, a tribe from which the Priestly account was drawn.

Now as far as the Christian Scriptures, I will use the verse that Mr. Smyth pointed out: Matthew 23:9 " And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." That verse was taken out of one of the four Gospel books. The word Pope is a DERIVATIVE of the Greek word for father, which means Pope doesnt mean father it means something close to it. Besides that you never know what the actual Bible says unless you read it in its original Yiddish, Greek, and Aramaic.

I dont know how many times the Bible says "Catholic" or "Baptist" you got me there (Good for you!) however I do know that St. Peter was the first Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, because Catholics are the only ones with Popes. It says somewhere that Jesus said to Peter: Build a church on this rock. That was the first mention of church in the Bible.

I know the Bible, it's just the fact that I dont believe in taking the Bible as law, as accepting a savior, or as accepting a god created people (yes, i am a darwinist). I take the Bible as moral code and that's it...i barely take it as moral code anymore.

You're confused, friend. The LORD divinely inspired each and every author to pen the exact words He desired. It matters naught the condition of one's circumstances in a temporal sense, as the LORD knew before the existence of the world that He would choose certain people at certain times to record His Holy Scriptures for all times.

Catholics brainwash children to use the term "father" so they grow up thinking about priests as a father in a spiritual sense. In no sense is a priest or pastor a "spiritual father" to a Christian. Only God can cause a person to receive Spiritual Birth, therefore, only God is worthy of the title of "Father" in a spiritual sense. The pope is called, "Holy Father" in spite of the fact this is clearly unbiblical. No man can take on the title of "holy" anything, because only God is holy. This title gives the pope a status that is never intended for any man on earth.

Nowhere does Holy Scripture declare that Peter was in authority over the other apostles, or over the church, which is the entire foundation upon which you rationalize your office of the pope. See Acts 15:1-23; Galatians 2:1-14; and 1 Peter 5:1-5. Nor is it ever taught in Scripture that the bishop of Rome, or any other bishop, was to have primacy over the entire church. You won't find in Scripture that Peter was even in Rome, making the Vatican an illogical place of authority even if your theory was correct.

If you read Scripture in context, however, you'll note that Peter’s authority was shared by the other apostles (Ephesians 2:19-20), and the “loosing and binding” authority attributed to him was likewise shared by the local churches, not just their church leaders (see Matthew 18:15-19; 1 Corinthians 5:1-13; 2 Corinthians 13:10; Titus 2:15; 3:10-11).

Peter nowhere claims supremacy over the other apostles. Nowhere in his writings (1 and 2 Peter) did the Apostle Peter claim any special role, authority, or power over the church. Nowhere in Scripture does Peter, or any other apostle, state that their apostolic authority would be passed on to successors.

You'l not find anywhere in Scripture a statement to the effect of keeping the church from error requiring the authority of the apostles to be passed on to those they ordained (the idea behind apostolic succession). Apostolic succession is read into those verses that the Roman Catholic Church uses to support this doctrine (2 Timothy 2:2; 4:2-5; Titus 1:5; 2:1; 2:15; 1 Timothy 5:19-22). Paul does NOT call on believers in various churches to receive Titus, Timothy, and other church leaders based on their authority as bishops or their having apostolic authority, but rather based upon their being fellow laborers with him (1 Corinthians 16:10; 16:16; 2 Corinthians 8:23).

You know the Catholic interpretation of the Bible, therefore, you know a false doctrine, one that has been added to in order to justify an unjust usurping of authority. You have escaped that authority by the fact that you no longer take a cracker on your tongue and pretend it's the flesh of Jesus Christ, but you are now in bondage to the sin of ATHEISM! Why, you've just jumped from the frying pan into the fire! What a foolish move to make!

There is hope for you, dear! There is hope in the REAL Jesus Christ! There is hope found in reading, believing, and following the Holy Bible to the letter! There is freedom in giving up your sinful liberties and becoming a slave to Christ (1 Corinthians 7:22)! Won't you be free?

Who - if they are any good, and most of them are not - get their information from contemporary sources, by which I mean people who were alive and writing at or shortly after the time at which the events took place.
