Never really got the whole god thing, was agnostic, did two years of philosophy at uni and now completely atheist, only god i would consider now would be the philosophers god which has no part in the universe, and only created space and time, only because of the massive information gap pre big bang.

All others just have too many flaws and self denying characteristics.... no offence, but Doesnt make sense to me, However far you get, God cannot be proven on a logical standpoint, as nothing can be argued into exisance, and evidence based reasoning could never get to the proof stage, as even if you met him, as a finite being, you cant identify an infinite being as being one.

I never understand why people say that. Why would you be proud of being wrong? It's like saying "I can't tie my shoelaces and I'm proud of it!"

I do understand that it is a problem to think by himself, tiring, uncertain, difficult.

And there's no guarantee of being right. God is guaranteed to be right, because He's God, so why not just agree with what He says?

We don't need of another existence, even if it exist.

i am an atheist for the reason that i have seen to much proof that god isn't real e.g.
i presume you have heard of ancient Egypt, which was 3000 years B.C.E.( or before christ as you might say). Well they had a god at the time called Horus. here is what they told of him:
he was born on December the 25th
he was born to a virgin
his birth was accompanied by a star in the east which three kings followed
he was a teacher at the age of 12
he began his ministry at thirty
he had 12 disciples
he preformed miracles with them such as healing the sick and walking on water
he was betrayed by one of his followers
he was crucified
he was dead for three days then resurrected......that to me sounds a lot like a story about another god who is worshiped in another religion

Only a ignorant person could explain the orgins of life by this manner (if you read a book once in a while you would see how much sense it makes, the scientific theorie for origins of life), and only pervert would only see the meaning 'homosexual sex acts' in a particle's (and other scientific) name (is inflation only about sex? not really).

By the way, magically poofed out of mud for the pleasure of a guy who is only visible beyond time and space and there is no way to find out, yet we know he exist is way more logical.

• He was born in a swamp on the last day of the Egyptian Choiak which would be around the 27th or 28th of December, not the 25th.
• He was the child of Osiris and Isis, so I'm not sure where you're getting "virgin birth" from
• He spent his childhood hiding in the marshes from his brother, not sure where you're getting the teaching at the age of 12. He was a warrior, not a teacher.
• As for miracles, he was a mythological god. Oh, the stories don't give the Jesus miracles. In fact Horus (which one?) He conquered Seth (God of lower Egypt)
• He had a ministry?
• He had disciples? He was worshiped in temples like other pagan gods.
• He battled his brother Seth, he was not betrayed by anyone
• He left the earth and he and his brother Seth contend for the souls of this earth.
• He was never resurrected, because he never died.

You know what, before you go passing on garbage like this, perhaps you should actually check to see if any of it is true.

I have read the books, I have a BSc. and yeah, it basically says that "poof" there were proteins, and "poof" the proteins took on life. Have you actually read any of these books?

Let's look at this logically, right? OK, so people may have worshipped Horus before Christ was around. But God was around from the beginning of time, and He always planned to get round to creating Christ. And Satan was an angel who also pre-dated Christianity, so it'd make sense for him to know about God's plans from his angel days. So, he had both the motive and the opportunity to make a confusing imitation of Christianity before Christianity existed so folk like you would fall into confusion and not get saved. You see how logical that is?
