That's crazy. What's there to be proud of? You might as well be proud of being illiterate or a mongoloid or unemployed. I've never won a medal for a major sporting event, should I be proud of that? If there's no hell, then would you care to explain why the Bible specifically mentions a Lake of Fire? Are you calling God a liar? Also, if Hell isn't real, then where do you think Michael Jackson and Pope John Paul and Kurt Vonnegut and Lux Interior and Saddam Hussein and Anne Frank and Jeff Buckley are right now? They can't all be in Heaven, that would be crazy.

What good works did she actually do? Since when is writing a diary a good work? Leading people to Christ is the only acceptable good work, the rest are only attempts of humanity to get into heaven by flattering God, hoping to bypass Christ. Luckily God sees right through that dirty trick, otherwise we would have to share our mansions in heaven with liberal pussies like you.

I love Jesus with all my heart because I got told that he luvs anyone who accepts him as their personal lord and savior. My folks were athiests because my pops said that the only one he needs love from is Mr. Jack Daniels. Dos that mean my pop is a fag?

I just started readin the Bible on this site. Its been kindof hard to follow since I split off from skool in grade 6 and I dont understand the words. To make things easier Im just gonna say that it is correct no matter what the heck I think. That way I dont have to think about words. I just know that they are right because Jesus says so.

I agree! Blindly follow what an old book and an internet forum tells you! It's what all the people weak principals do!

But seriously, it's important to have intrinsic motivation for what you do. It's a basic tenet of psychology. This type of motivation comes from rewards inherent to a task or activity itself. Extrinsic motivation is motivation that comes from outside of yourself. Oftentimes the bible or the church threatens and coerces you to do the "right" thing or else be damned. I think some churches give the wrong message.

"good" things are, I believe, inherently good, not because the bible or God says so. If what god does or says is automatically good, then well...we have a lot of contradictions on our hand don't we? God did a lot of killing, is very jealous, and according to most of the forum members one of the biggest biggots ever. It's called the Eurypthro Dilemma..check it out.

You can't prove that the Bible is wrong.

Actually a good bit of the bible is historically wrong,
there are countless instances in the bible that are completely wrong by all other accounts-for example, the "census" that causes Mary and Joseph to go to Bethlehem, is a complete and utter fallacy, years out in terms of date and completely wrong in what actually happened-it was added to make Jesus seem like he was the predicted Messiah.

Which proves one of my points-a Holy Book written by man that has been edited, changed etc. over generations- Hell, it wasn't even compiled till 350 years after Jesus supposed death!

Now morally, there are some good things one can take from the bible...but not many.

How can it be wrong if it's from God himself? I don't understand your thinking. I mean hell these "scientists" keep on re-writing their "truth" every day.. they try and spread lies that we either came from apes or that we're made up from some start dust garbage. You know how many new physicks books come out every year? Each one different than the last. Heck now they're saying that we're all connected together by puppet strings or some such. Last time I checked there's no cord attaching me to the unsaved swine down the street. The Bible doesn't change, we've been preaching God's WORD for as long as He has told us to. You evilutionists have been making up new crap ever since Darwin got sea-sick from being out on his boat too long and started hallucinating.
