I see you as one of those people who have vicarious concerns about other people. You imagine that everyone's view is yours.

God, OTOH, has considered the situation perfectly (as one would expect.)

Consider the raped woman. What man is going to want to marry her after that? Basically she is condemned to a pointless life in which she will have no husband, household or children for whom to care.

It therefore seems eminently just that she should marry her rapist. It at least gives her some hope.

Not only that, but that she also plans to kill the poor unborn baby her rapist had given her! Sickening! Have young people today got NO morals?

Any and all advice on what I can say to convince this girl to do the right thing would be great. Should I start with the basics ?

"Whore, you'll burn in Hell for all eternity - unless you marry your rapist"??

Or should I go for a more subtle approach??

      Scripture:

      Deuteronomy 22:28-29 (King James Version)

If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

hey fuck head what about this passage

      Deuteronomy 22:25 (King James Version)

25But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.

What about it? Don't you understand it? Have your mother or father read it to you. It's pretty straightforward.

Rape isn't what they want when they dress like that. Many women dress like that because it makes them feel good about themselves. Many women also get raped when they're dressed perfectly normally. If you were walking down the street with your wallet in your pocket and were mugged, it's not your fault for having your wallet, it's the thief's fault for stealing it, and the same applies to rapists.
If my daughter (if I have a daughter in the future) didn't marry her rapist, I would fully support her decision not to marry and live with a criminal who had hurt her horribly.

So you pick and choose what Words of God to obey? Cherry-picking the Gospel sure is convenient for young men who PRETEND to be Christians.

            James 2:10
For whosoeuer shall keepe the whole Law, & yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

            Matthew 4:4
But he answered, and said, It is written, Man shall not liue by bread alone, but by euery word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

It sounds to me like you are quite young still, and could benefit from some strong fellowship with an elder. It's time to open your body and let Jesus enter you. He loves you, but you clearly do not love him back. He's tried to reach out and touch you, but you've gently recoiled in nervous anticipation. Once you have Jesus in you, there is no pulling out. He will be in you until he comes again, having you shouting GLORY from the highest mountain top! PRAISE GOD! GLORY HALLELUJAH!

So, yeah. Call me some time and we'll set up a prayer meeting or something. This week's bad, though. I've got a thing. Maybe later though, OK?

I dread to think how dressing like a harlot would make anyone feel good about themselves.

I suppose a lot depends on what you mean by "normally".

No, that is not true at all. The 10 Commandments tell us not to steal but God's Word tells us how a rapist shall deal with his victim.

I think the difficulty here is that you (a woman) are saying how you will advise another woman. It is the father who makes these decisions, not women.

Wait, Twiggy's a woman? I feel duped and filthy. I was under the impression Twiggy was a young man based on his/her uppity demeanor in this forum. Of course one can be handily fooled by a woman who ignores Proverbs 31 and speaks up in matters normally to be decided by the stronger gender.

1.Because what you judge as dressing like a harlot might be attractive to some one else.
                    2. My mum and dad make decisions together, that's what makes them such good parents
