  • So-Called Church Now Ignores Easter Sunday

    Easter Sunday.

Jesus, after dying on the cross for our all of our sins, prepares to ascend into Heaven to sit at the right hand of his Father and, just like Good Friday, there is no mention of this miracle anywhere here by any of the many 'Reverends' who kick about proclaiming to be True Christians.

No doubt, one or two of the uppity local women folk will pop in and attempt deflect criticism away from their grifter menfolk but it will be to no avail. The proof is in the pudding and it is obvious to one and all that the local 'preachers' are no more interested in God than Richard Simmons is in females.

While Pope Francis said Mass for hundreds of thousands and hundreds of thousands of Priests all over the globe led celebration for a billion devout Catholics, the Landrover Baptwits were nowhere to be found here in their own trailer park of a Church.

Now, I understand that this does not reflect well upon me as I have been tasked with nudging these flim-flammers towards Christ but what is a humble Padre to do in the face of such intransigence?

I have sent His Holiness my resignation but fear a reply like all of the others... "You may return full-time to Rome when your job in the boondocks is complete".

Off to prayers I go in this time of great troubles.

Bless you, my Christians of cash convenience,
    Father Mo

I'm not quite up to date on the current catholic rules, are their false believers allowed a bible in a language they understand nowadays? If so, i suggest you acquire one for yourself and read it. Jesus' ascension into Heaven is not remembered with Easter, as you would have known had you ever paid attention to His Word. So obviously we do not remember His ascension on Easter. No wonder your church is emptying faster than a priest's dick in a choir boy's behind, knowing that even those in contact with the pope, the ayatollah of the catholic church, do not even have basic biblical literacy.

By the way, my KJV says Jesus' resurrection was on the third day after his crucifixion, by my count that would make it a Monday. Not sure where you get Easter Sunday from.
    Leviticus 26:15-16
And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

My dear Father Mo, are you sure you haven't skipped a few Sunday school lessons? Because as Brother Follower has correctly noted, we're still over a month away from that anniversary.

Anyway. Just in case you missed the most important thread about the Resurrection (not Ascension), here it is.

I accept your unjust and cruel persecution of my modest self as proof that Jesus loves me and hates you.
God created fossils to test our faith.

Jesus is impolite. Deal with it.

Dear uppity and predictable local woman. Note the word PREPARE!

Having bagged a few death Z's, Jesus gathered Himself in preparation for His resurrection and eventual ascension into Heaven.

While your attempt to deflect the local Pastors lack of sermon/service or mention of the tremendous importance of this most Holy weekend is admirable in a 'shut-in's dog barking at a passing truck way', it by no means diminishes the lack of care and respect shown here by your better halves.

Some fellow who makes glue and obviously sniffs it does not count as a 'Pastor' or 'Reverend' on these matters, although at least he managed a few mangled words of dubious information on this most important of subjects.

While the rest of the Christian world spent the last few days showing love and respect to Jesus for His ultimate sacrifice, your leaders where nowhere to be found and are still AWOL (Away Without Old Lady) on the matter.

        Bless you, my tenacious tenaculum,
        Father Mo

Ah yes, Richard Simmons, the "man" who converted to Catholicism... I remember that abomination.

While Pope Francis said Mass for hundreds of thousands and hundreds of thousands of Priests all over the globe led celebration for a billion devout Catholics,
I suppose you are looking for praise for celebrating the blindingly obvious - What did anyone expect Jesus to do? His mission was at an end - where else would He go but home? This is not a miracle nor a Mystery.

When aliens land, they always complete their mission and then return to a distant planet far away - it's the way things happen in this world. Yes, just as Jesus left behind the Disciples, aliens may leave a few sidekicks behind in places like Area 51, but that's normal too.

The Catholic Church - so weird that it celebrates things that are normal...

Padre, it seems that your time with us really has taught you nothing. We follow a thing called the Bible, which you may eventually get to reading after you've waded through the required piles of precious papal polemics.

Accordingly, we observe all the holidays God told us to observe. Here is the list:
            1. the Sabbath
You and your misguided minions think there are certain days for certain prayers and kinds of praise. We do that every minute of every hour of every day.

            You're welcome.

            Humbly,

            Wally
