Re: How Should I Prepare to Sacrifice My Child?

    1 Kings 13:1-2

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.

    2 Kings 23:20-25

And *he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.

And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the Lord your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant.

    Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;

But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this passover was holden to the Lord in Jerusalem.

Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the Lord.

And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.

    *Josiah

Now what was this idiot saying about no human sacrifice again?

OK so you can't point to any child sacrifices made to the God of the Bible either. Somehow it doesn't surprise me, considering that it's nowhere to be found in the Bible. Doh
But keep looking, lemme know if you find one

Have you got a flat nose or a hunchback? God warns us about people like you getting close to an altar. You must be so flat-nosed that you don't come near a Bible.

Listen up! Jephthah says to God that he will give a burnt offering. Burnt virgins are not much use to the temple, are they? Are you calling Jephthah, a General in God's Army, a liar and a deceiver? You pehaps think that the point of the story was that Jephtah was a lunatic zealot, steeped in the ways of Bronze-Age goat-herders, who would say and do anything to further God's Holy Cause?

The only reason people do abortion is cause they aren't ready or they don't want a baby. God will never do or tell you to do this because if you are a true believer he won't need to test you. God wouldn't ask you to kill your children becae he tells us to make children.

Exactly. God orders us to kill babies of others, not our own:

I wonder if getting drunk would help, or maybe God would say "That was just the beer talking/cutting/stabbing."

I also wonder if it counts when they've been doing something annoying. God might also say "You seem to have proved your faith, but on the other hand, after 5 hours of 'are the there yet' and another 5 of whining about Disneyland lineups being too long..."

You've clearly never met a liberal, or a person under the age of 30. Their women get pregnant just so they can get hopped up on drugs and have an abortion for entertainment. It's a new trend, like roofing, or going vegan. They get a spiritual high from it. They continually seek new and horrifying ways to offend Jesus in order to get their next fix.

                        Dear Child,

Please read the words I emphasized with bold, bigger font and red color once more and then a few times more. Our highly educated Sister Basilissa offered you an explanation that God sometimes tells us to kill babies of other nations. You are refuting this by telling us that God sometimes tells us to kill Babylonian (=other nation) babies.

It seems to are not trying to debate our Sister because of any divergent opinions on this but because you are having a temper tantrum. While this is understandable when it comes to sinners, it it also hindering any potential growth in Godliness in you. Please reconsider your position, calm down and do some unbiased Bible Study!

So if an adult pokes out your eye, you poke out a baby's eye?

Oh my! I'm in tears. I had such high hopes for you and then you go all old testament on me!

How did sweet innocent babies deserve to die? This again is an example of why ancient people had no idea just how sweet God and Jesus really are and why we should largely just ignore the Bible. God wouldn't really have asked for babies to be killed so it must be not true. He would, however, have asked for us to love everyone and be nice, therefore this is true (even if it is also in the Bible).

Turning the other cheek is nice, therefore Jesus really said it and meant it. Please don't start sounding like these people.
