You are completely ignoring his original point, which was that Baptists (like yourselves) are by no means exempt from committing crimes such as paedophilia, despite your attempt to heap the blame solely onto other religions. He gave an example of his own personal experience, as valid as any slur you might throw the way of the Catholics or Muslims, to show that a Baptist minister is no less likely to be a child molester than any other religious figure.

The difference is that he can only present anecdotal evidence that we have no way of verifying, while the catholic church has been ordered to pay hundreds of millions of dollars to victims of child molestation that happened by priests that they knew were child molesters.

4. Was the incident reported either to camp management or secular law?
5. How do you know there were multiple boys? Was this found out when you reported it (see #4)
6. Was anything done by camp leadership about it? That is: was Mel handed over to secular law or did they try to cover it up?
7. Which church or organization did Mel belong to?
8. Which Bible did Mel use? Was it the KJV 1611 Bible or something else?
9. How do you know Mel was a Baptist and not an atheist pretending to be one?
10. Do you have any contact information of this Mel?
11. Is there any way we can verify this story? Court proceedings would be helpful (as is the case with catholic abuse trials that actually DID happen)

I do think before I speak, but I can't say the same for you. No, I was a Catholic and then a Baptist because of my father, but now I am not. the bible is not the most important book out there. Child molestation is a sick and depraved act. However, I have noticed, when backed into a corner, trolls like to use the "I was molested by my Pastor" card. I've seen two examples of this in a matter of a few days. The troll yaps and yaps about how horrible God is, and then when the banning seems imminent, suddenly they were raped by a man of God.
